So Punk's first UFC fight (Maybe) will be in the same building where he walked out of WWE back in January of 2014---Cleveland. Interesting.

I know I am in the minority but I hope he does one or two fights then comes back to WWE. If Warrior and Bruno can come back then why can't he.

The best chance wresting has is for UFC to slowly start manipulating their fights. Hopefully get it to they great middle ground between work and shoot.

Boxing had it for about 40 years before they screwed the pooch

When Brock first fought in the UFC he steamrolled everyone. Even when he lost to Mir, he beat the crap out of him. However, Brock did not do so well after he faced top tier fighters. Maybe that was due to his medical issue or to the fact he didn't like getting hit. Who is the guy Punk is facing? I have never heard of him. From what I have seen, he has two professional wins. Punk may come in and dominate a few fights, if he fights at all, but I think he will have the same luck against top fighters as Brock.

2 ppvs a month makes sense if you realize they are trying to sell network subscriptions not actual $39 per order over cable or satellite

The Pwinsider guys posted that PPV lineup is legit. So the Night of Champions is now Clash of the Champions and a Raw only show.
Interesting to me it looks like the big shows are going to all be 4 hours long.

Just thinking about why you guys said they are going to not do the NXT stuff anymore. Why haven't they quit it yet? Wouldn't it make sense to just do the RAW and SD brand and cut NXT out?

As far as I know they have no plans to cut out NXT, the last show was called "The End" because it was the end of the Joe-Balor feud and the end of an era so to speak.

So Jason would have loved this week's ROH show, and entire hour of women's wrestling. :) :cool2:

I read bad information about the end of NXT online. Having a solid developmental program is vital. WWE needs a good AAA franchise.

I think it's way too much. I don't think people will watch that much wrestling. That's Raw, SmackDown, NXT every week and two PPVs a month possibly a third if NXT has a special and sticks around.

So WWE content consistently for four days a week.

I don't think NXT is going anywhere. I think WWE looks at it as their 3rd brand now. I don't think they ever believed that it would get to the level it is now, but it's not going anywhere.

Also I agree with @HeismanWildcat85 2 PPV's a month is too much. No way people will watch that much wrestling.

I haven't watched Raw in two months. I haven't watched SmackDown for over a year. The majority of stuff seems like filler. I can't imagine having the time to watch all of that stuff and there will undoubtedly be a PPV for one of the brands that none of us give a crap to watch.

I would just like to hear the positive side of this split because I believe the negatives outweigh it.

The only positives I can see is more TV time for fringe talents. I'd rather see the two brands combine for the big PPVS (Mania, Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series) and then alternate months for the monthly PPVS. It seems like 8 weeks or so to build angles with benefit both brands because one of my biggest peeves is WWE can't do a long-running feud any more. It's gotta be started and blown off in 3 months or less. Every Single. One. (Slow burns are a good thing.)

We also know, no matter what WWE does, Raw will always be the "A show."

I get revamping SD because now it's basically a Raw recap with four matches, many of which are return bouts from Raw. And some of the bigger names don't work Tuesdays.

Not sure if it was a worked shoot but Rollins calling out Reigns for the wellness violation was well done.

Given they had Roman's apology tweet on the tron, I'm guessing worked shoot in an attempt to further shame/punish Reigns.

Again once you go corporate, investors make you do stupid stuff for money. It's a shame really because wrestling is one of those things that less is actually more. Putting out that much stuff doesn't just kill TV viewers with over saturation, or also kills your roster.

So congrats letting money greedy leeches make decisions to make your product less important and hurt you staff.

And yes WWE does need a feeder program.....its just a shame that like years ago the feeder is handled better than the actual big league product.

I really do not understand how in the world none of the older wrestling guys couldn't build a solid program. It really blows my mind to be involved for so many years as many have and none of them have the money and a clue about the business to offer competition.

Caught bits of Raw for the first time in a long time last night. Is it a consensus among you all that AJ Styles is far and away the best in-ring performer the company has? He ran circles around Ambrose in that match. The way he moves in the ring is better than anyone I've seen since Punk and/or HBK.

His age and size are up against him, but I'm watching if he's wrestling. Entertaining.

It also seems like the WWE has forgotten who's supposed to be a heel and a face. AJ seems like a face. Rollins is a natural face. Ambrose looks like a brawling heel. Reigns sounds like he should be a heel. And whatnot. But I haven't watched in a while so I could be off.

I think we're done with complete heels and faces for the most part. At least, when the top guys are concerned. John Cena splitting the crowd ruined that a long time ago.

So, will Roidin' Roman Reigns be depushed and punished for his eff up like Swagger was a few years ago, for instance, or will this be swept under the rug like with Orton's legion of failed piss tests?

I'm pretty surprised they mentioned the violation on TV last night. Either way is fine with me. I don't hate Roman. I don't like Roman. I do hate his push.

( I also almost legit feel sorry for the guy because he gets boooed relentlessly in every arena. WWE muting the crowd mics for his entrance/promos is so obvious now.)

Not sure Rollins would go out of his way to make Vince mad. Rollins had an AV presentation prepared. That tells me Vince McMahon completely approved of his speech.

Explain to me how Reigns fails a test for roids while Cena and Ryback passes?

I'm speculating because it hasn't been revealed what he did.

How could they not talk about the suspension when he is off tv but they still have to hype the paper view (/nash) the next 3 weeks?

Smart to own it & use it in an angle all show long

Uhhhh that one "special" dude with the beard standing on stage just about 3 people down on Big Show's right just now was every bit of 7 feet ****ing tall and probably 350. Sweet Jesus.
Watching now. Holy ****. Surprised Vince didn't sign that guy and push him. You gotta figure he'd be better than Kahli.
