Saw Byars furniture family today after bball game and they told me that CJ's momma was in their store in Philadelphia this past week, buying furniture that normally only very wealthy people can afford to buy, and in cash. Honest truth.

Side note, my dad is in MS House of Rep and he never gives two ***** about recruiting and he told me last night that the word going around the capital this past week was that UM Lawyer Alums gave over $100k. This is the first time my dad has ever mentioned recruiting to me, ever. My question is, how does this go unnoticed by everyone, even when out state elected officials know it is happening?

Not your story in particular, which is most likely fabrication, but these message board posts about cars and safe deposit boxes and 100k/year jobs. Just seems like much ado about nothing. But I guess it doesn't matter after what went down last year with the MSU/Auburn deal. It's pretty much open season on recruits from this point forward.

Somebody pays cash for a lot of expensive furniture, doubt they load it in the back of Uncle Jeds truck and have the family unload , its going to get delivered. But, please, please, let me wake up tomorrow and it be Thursday morning, no, Friday morning and the newspaper stories ran yesterday and the talk show know it alls have had their shows and the only thing to look forward to in football is 2adays.

Other than the 100k/yr job(which is pure ********) the rest of it is very believable to me. The numbers I`m hearing in all these conversations are no and I repeat no larger than we were dealing with 25-30 years ago. Players don`t cost as much as you think to buy and the Ole Miss money I`m hearing about now is not impressive and certainly not intimidating. Hell we were getting more money than this together for Bob Tyler in the 70`s. The current scenario was created by Mullen`s ill founded dream of cleaning up the SEC backfiring on him.

interesting stuff but to the extent it is complaining, sounds like jealousy. I say great job by UM. getting it done. MSU boosters take note and figure out a way to get these guys locked down next year. if it wasn't UM, it would be somebody else. this is the game.

and you have to respect them for that. Yes, it may cost us certain recruits but it IS a program we can be proud of and so our money boosters, even if they would like to, or not going to go against what the staff wants on this. You can be assured that whatever is going on with UM has a "wink and a nod" approval of their coaching staff even if they aren't directly involved because if they didn't want it it would NOT be happening.
