it would be nice to have a legit pass rusher on the outside, but damn, he was a force to be reckoned with inside. i think he will be successful at either position, so i think he has earned that chance.

I can't see him taking more snaps at DE than DT no matter his weight.

Seems like it's easier for us to find good DT's than DE's. Plus if we have two good DT's and put CJ on the end, that's a freakish DL to run against.

I've reeeeally got to change my mindset because every time I see or hear CJ I automatically think of new pickup trucks and white girls swallowing.

I honestly am hesitant to jump on board with this. If he is able to continue to improve as a de then I thinks it's far more valuable for him to be there. However, we already know how big of an impact and how disruptive he is and can be at dt.

Not much to worry about. He'll make the plays at either position. He just seems to have it in his heart to play DE.

At DT, teams know they can double team him - although that does keep the OL off the LBs. At DE, you have to keep a TE or someone to help or just completely run away from that side.

He'll be an upgrade in passing situations as he'll be on an island with the OT.

I say play him where ever he wants to play. DT usually just eat up blockers, and stop the run. Way more fear can be put in the hearts of QB's with him at RE coming from the blind side=Early throws/overthrows/happy feet. We need Nick James back, and it sure would be nice if we had Quay. Oh well.

he would maybe get to another level of motor if he was playing end. he has been talking about it since he got here. I'm not at all questioning his effort, I thought his motor was better than excellent last year. lots of talent in him. He's quick and big. Plus he could really test our OT's in practice. If they block him everyday no one would be scarry in the SEC play.
