Entered yesterday with 842 points
+50 for win vs. Alliance (19-5)
-3 for Wahoo moving from Div 1 to Div 2

Opponents of teams playing in Class B District Finals yesterday who had games remaining AND could change divisions before seeding on March 3 are as follows:
- Blair beat Alliance to move to 11-11 (50.0%, Div 2). Among the teams in Class B District Final games, this impacted Norris, Platteview, Mount Michael, Elkhorn, Waverly, Roncalli, Bennington (twice), and Elkhorn North.
- Wahoo lost to Pierce to drop to 18-7 (72.0%, Div 2). Among the teams in Class B District Final games, this impacted Norris, Platteview (twice), Beatrice, Waverly, Aurora, Bennington, Elkhorn North, and Blair.
- Cody, WY, (4-13, 23.5%) played Riverton, WY, last night, but that game is moot since only Scottsbluff would have been impacted and Waverly defeated them 57-30.
- Fremont (5-18, 21.7%) could have moved to Div 3 had they defeated Bellevue West, but they lost by 40. This would have impacted Elkhorn and Northwest.
- Council Bluffs St. Albert, IA, (11-13, 45.8%) could have moved to Div 2 had they defeated Grand View Christian, IA, but they lost by 2. This would have impacted Norris.
- North Platte (9-12, 42.9%) could have moved to Div 3 had they defeated BOTH Lincoln North Star yesterday AND Bellevue West on Monday, but they lost to Lincoln North Star. This would have impacted Skutt, Platteview, Beatrice, Scottsbluff, Northwest (twice), and Sidney.

From what I could tell, the remaining opponents of the Class B District Final teams with games left before March 3 could not change divisions (records entering yesterday):
- Bellevue East (6-16) Up to 2 District Games, at least 1 would be a win.
- Grand Island (12-10) Up to 2 District Games, at least 1 would be a win.
- Lincoln Pius X (17-2) Up to 2 District Games, at least 1 would be a win.
- Every Class B team left other than Blair as identified above.
- Adams Central (23-2) C1-3 Final
- Ashland-Greenwood (15-7) C1-3 Final
- Boone Central (13-12) C1-1 Final
- Kearney Catholic (22-2) C1-2 Final
- Mitchell (16-9) C1-4 Final
- North Bend Central (18-5) C1-7 Final
- Ogallala (19-4) C1-8 Final
- Omaha Concordia (20-4) C1-7 Final
- St. Paul (22-2) C1-5 Final
- BRLD (17-4) C2-7 Final

- St. Joseph Lafayette, MO (17-7) Class 5 District 16 Semifinal
- Casper Natrona, WY (5-12) Regular season game vs. Rock Springs, WY, then Regionals start on 04 March 2021.

And here are the rest of the opponents of the Class B District Final teams who have no games left before March 3 (records entering yesterday):

I should mention, I checked all of the records (particularly for out of state teams on their equivalent of nsaahome.org) to make sure the records on the NSAA site were correct or at least did not require a division adjustment. None did among the 18 non-Nebraska teams who played Class B District Final participants.

The NSAA site has been updated and match the above numbers.

Looking at tonight's Nebraska games, I'm not seeing any teams playing who can change divisions AND who played one of the eight Class B state tournament teams:
- GICC is 21-4 and played Skutt. Their division can't change.
- Omaha Concordia is 20-4 and played Blair and Mount Michael. Their division can't change.
- Ashland-Greenwood is 15-7 and played Platteview. Their division can't change.
- Kearney Catholic is 22-2 and played Beatrice and Waverly. Their division can't change.

Looking at out-of-state opponents for the eight Class B state tournament teams:
- Beatrice: None.
- Blair: Season over for Harlan, IA (9-12).
- Elkhorn: None.
- Mount Michael Benedictine: St. Joseph Lafayette, MO, plays Kearney, MO, on March 2. Lafayette is 17-7 and their division can't change with the result of their game tomorrow.
- Norris: Season over for Council Bluffs St. Albert, IA (11-13).
- Omaha Skutt Catholic: Season over for Sioux City West, IA (11-11) and for Bishop Heelan, IA (6-16).
- Platteview: None.
- Waverly: None.

So I believe the state tournament bracket will look like this:

#8 BLAIR (11-11, 40.4091) vs. #1 NORRIS (18-2, 45.0000)
#5 ELKHORN (17-7, 43.3750) vs. #4 PLATTEVIEW (20-4, 43.8750)
#7 WAVERLY (15-6, 43.1429) vs. #2 OMAHA SKUTT CATHOLIC (18-4, 44.2727)
#6 BEATRICE (16-6, 43.2727) vs. #3 MOUNT MICHAEL BENEDICTINE (20-3, 43.9565)

When is the last time a team west of Lincoln didn’t make the state tournament in Class B? @Alum-Ni @TC53
Not possible under the old district format where there were always two districts exclusively west of Lincoln. Would only be possible in the last four years (including this season) since the change was made to a two-stage qualifying arrangement (subdistricts and district final). Just took a look at the "Wildcard Archive" on the NSAA site going back a few years, the current format started in the 2017-18 season if I'm not mistaken.

2020 (3): Alliance, Hastings, Scottsbluff
2019 (4): Alliance, Aurora, Scottsbluff, York
2018 (3): Aurora, Crete, York

So based on this, having ZERO is extremely abnormal.

Then before this, there was always a guarantee of at least two teams west of Lincoln, possibly three depending on how the districts lined up based on geography and NSAA enrollment numbers.

Along with no teams west of Lincoln participating in Class B, it appears no OPS schools will be participating in the Class A tournament this year.

If my research is correct, the last time the boys Class A tournament was played without an Omaha Public School member in it was 1996. That tournament was won by Lincoln Northeast. Other participants that year were Bellevue West, Columbus, Fremont, Grand Island, Lincoln High, Lincoln Southeast and North Platte.

Its been about a decade of dominance for OPS in Class A in Football and Basketball
