Go to Rutgers and your ranking goes down. Not the first time and won’t be the last.
Three of the nine prospects went up in ranking.
Two more stayed the same in the position rankings.
Duff only went down one single spot.
The other three dropped a bit, but nothing significant.
Gilley, Duff, Sanders and White all dropped …2 of our 4 **** dropped what did I miss. Winovich should be a 4**** and he went up . The twins from Florida who were 5.7 and 5.8 stayed the same. Still find it strange that the two highly rated 4’s dropped down after committing to RU. If they went elsewhere they almost surely would have moved up.
That's not how recruiting rankings work at all.
Don't overthink Duff moving one single spot, it was cause one TE took a huge leap in the rankings that's it. You're completely ignoring the fact that three of the nine moved up in the rankings following their commitment to Rutgers? Two others didn't move at all in the rankings that's six of the nine right there.
Also Winowich is making strides towards four-star status, but he still has a ways to go. Also these aren't the final rankings as we will have two more updates before they are finalized.
You posted what they were rated previously and what the recent ratings say. Now the **** rating perhaps is the same 3 star or 4 star but it is funny that it always appears Rutgers commits get a downgrade. You say Winovich is working on it now unless there are more camps coming up I don’t see that happening until he’s playing with Surace. Then he may get another upgrade. Nothing is changing with Winovich that is any different. The kid has great upside with many intangibles. Be honest ( a little biased) if he flipped back to one of the supposed Bluebloods he would be a 4*. Everyone who has spent time on the boards knows this. The fact is it doesn’t matter… we will be the whipping boys until we win for 3-4 years.
Why did Duff not go up? He was the MVP at the Rivals camp and more colleges took notice. He should be moving up.
He went to significantly the last go around in July. There has not been much of a change for him since that update.
Our next update doesn’t come out until after their senior seasons, so if he performs as expected then he has a great shot at that fourth star.
I am being honest because that’s not how the rankings work, our guys got eyes on him multiple times this offseason hence the move up, but he still has some work to do. He has a chance to be a four star if he keeps improving.
