Their gym was packed and officiating horridly one sided. Despite their "extremely physical" defense, uk was the team who had guys in foul trouble. It was absurd.

You have to wonder if it made a difference that the sec was undefeated in the challenge to that point.

Clemson sold out their little arena for our game. Place was a desert when they played Mempiss.
Put those side by side and it's Exhibit A for the difference between teams hosting Kentucky and just about anybody else. That's why some kids aren't ready/willing/able to handle the pressure of being a UK basketball player. You get that every night, as opposed to many gyms that feature COVID-era crowd levels when hosting someone else.

If you re-watch the game and just look at the various non-calls and officiating specifically - which is easier to do when you already know the outcome - you'll be horrified and convinced that crew was helping Clemson.

That said, UK fell victim to the road environment and the offense was just horrendous. Cleaned up a lot since then.

UConn is evidently garbage. A big pile of it. Gonzaga, therefore, must also be garbage.

Comparative scoreboard watching is the dumbest thing, especially when failing to factor in home vs away.

That game was stolen from us. That is all.
That loss meant nothing to the people that can actually see what is going on... Refs make road games next to impossible. We were beat to death and that changes everything about a game. Same thing happened in the first half against Duke. 2nd half was called completely different. Refs are instructed to call a game a certain way and that controls the outcome

They lost at home to Penny Hardaway and are now trailing the worst team in the SEC by double digits. They can’t sniff our jocks and were handed the game by the officials. It’s sickening to watch them look like the middling team they actually are now that their enabler (Ayers) isn’t around.
Refs can definitely make bad calls but that game wasn't stolen by the refs. Clemson has a good team. Good teams get beaten occasionally.

Stop.......would have been standing room only for UK during Christmas break at 2 in the morning in the middle of Nova Scotia.
We don't have a football team to take interest away from basketball. I will tell you if you will open your eyes. Football is KING in the SEC. Basketball is all we have. Bama, Florida, George, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and TN have very little interest in basketball compared to football. Here, we have very little interest in football compared to basketball. We are truly a basketball ONLY school. Fans like and want to win. UK basketball wins. UK football does not win. Clemson is a football school, two National Championships in past 6 or 7 years.

Not sure about stolen, but the refs allowing Schieffelin to grab 20 rebounds without a single foul being called was ridiculous. Refs in last night's game against SC fouled him out before the overtime.

I'd say South Carolina can play with anybody at home. I watched most of the Clemson - Memphis game and Memphis hit about five 3 pointers in the last 3 minutes, if the game is close throughout like it was, most of the time that will be enough to win the game.
I give Penny a lot of crap because I don’t repeat him as a coach ( I mean I have the Ol Pocket Lint scale for goodness sakes)

But he finally has a decent team of players he can “coach”. They’ll win games. Clemson aren’t world beaters but they aren’t bad either. Same goes for USCjr. People forget how much parity there is in college ball now. There’s a lot. The talent gap has narrowed. It’s actually a good thing for the sport.

It’s also frustrating as hell for teams like us or other blue bloods that are used to dominating the crap out of every team. If you’re a Top 75 P5 team, you are worthy of respect in this era. Especially on the road. Either bring your A game or go home with an L.

They lost to a Top 70 Kenpom team on the road. It's a Q2 loss. Not sure how that makes them overrated garbage.

I think people have forgotten how hard road games are.
It's a Q1 loss, they are 30th in the NET. They are still overrated.
