Not too much discussion to be had on this one as Bob Lewis returns home to Burgaw.....Prentice Murphy should return to action this week so look for the Clinton defense to continue its dominance....Pender not nearly as strong as us but look for the coaches to continue to push the offense and defense not to get complacent and play down to the level of competition.....Pender athlete to watch is the Hopper kid.....This one should be a easy one look to see some younger guys get some PT......prediction Clinton 42 Pender 6

I agree! The guys cannot get complacent at all, no room for that. Be 1-0 this week! It will be great to see Prentice back on the field.

Yes it will be....just want us to take care of business early get the starters some rest get ready for a showdown with East Bladen next week

Going to be a long night in Burgaw for the Patriots. Watching the Darkhorses last Friday against Hoggard reminded me of a game I watched a few years ago when SWO played at North Brunswick. I had heard all these great things about the stallions, mainly from ninja, but they were the real deal with all the athletes and Clinton has that same swagger.

Pender has improved but not enough to dent Clinton, I think Pender has some offensive success early but doesn't get too much going at all.

Clinton - As many as they want
Pender- 7

Pender does have two backs to watch for Hooper and Brown combined they rushed for almost 900 yards so far this season

Pender has had a special teams td in almost every game from the stats I've read in the paper. Again I don't think Pender is improved enough to deal with Clinton's horses (sorry for the pun)

We are getting better on kickoff coverage considering our kicker has kicked his last 10 kick offs, probably 7 have been touchbacks,

We gave up a special teams TD to Pender last year i think......Best Defense Chandler Perry booting it into the endzone for touchback

Hopefully Clinton comes out very focused in the first half, gets up big, then can rest a lot of guys for the second half. Praying for no injuries.

After a long kickoff return Clinton D holds forces a FG 28-3.....Pender excutes a onside kick and they recover......sloppy special teams play continues to be a issue may not affect us tonight but this has to get better

I guess Lewis is taking it easy on his hometown as he pretty much emptys the bench with 4:24 still in the half 2nd string guys in and a couple of JV guys moved up are playing

Continuous Clock 2nd half. Subs and some JV's wrapped it up.
Looking for a more competitive game at East. Bladen next week.
The weatherman could have been more accurate calling for clearing this afternoon.Well it cleared but then it poured down rain prior to the game but fortunately it stopped just before the game but it left a very soggy field to play on.

East Bladen looked good against Midway last night it should be a good game friday defense has to be lights out come friday those Hines boys are lightning in a bottle

Some stats from last night Passing: Williams 2 for 2 64 yards 1 TD.....Rushing: Wright 3-10-1TD Smith 5-26-1TD Skinner 9-71-2TD Williamson 2-76-1TD Receiving: Skinner 2 receptions 64 yards 1 TD.......offensive stats not mindblowing but remember Clinton worked with short fields thoughout the game and starters were done early

I just dont see it being a blowout thats a hard place to win a game as we found out in 2014 remember folks were predicting a win by 2-3 scores and we lost a heartbreaker in OT......i believe this Clinton team is better than the 2014 team but complacency seems to be creeping in had some periods of sloppy play and EB is coming off a good performance and will be upset minded....i think it will be something like 28-14....21-18 something like that......it will come down to whos defense can make stops

I think FOOTBALL FANATIC has this score predicted about right maybe a larger margin. The DarkHorses will control the football. The defense will shine. It's hard to score without the ball. Coach Lewis will put measures in to prevent any complancy issues. He's a expert at handling a team like this!!!

Clinton will pull away in the second half, similar to the Hoggard game. Winning margin may be a little more though. Horses 49. Eb 6

49 to 6.....i would not be mad if it was that but i just dont see it just my opinion.....East Bladen may not be as strong as they were in 2014 last time we went to E-Town but i still think its a team not to be taken lightly.....just my opinion

I agree that we shouldn't take them or any team lightly, but i just don't think they have enough in the tank to keep up with the Horses.

No team is taken lightly but this is a much much better DarkHorse team than the 2014 team. Those 2014 team members on this team are now seniors. I think like oldog?? says the Horses pull away just before half and just keep possession of the ball as they take time doing their business.

I think that the Dark Horse team this year has not yet played their best football. It will be interesting to see them when they pull it all together (offense, defense, and special teams). It will be fun to watch this year.

Special teams would be one of the biggest areas of concern KO coverage has been awful this year.....,if Chandler can't boot it into the end zone most of the time its pretty bad for us....SWO had a big return...SS ran two back but were called back for penalties.... Hoggard,Pender and North side had some good returns that put the defense in a tough position.....that area has to improve.....For this game I would put my best defensive players/fastest players on Kickoff team.....
