I think West Craven is a perfect example of a team that is better in November than they were in August. I just got through looking at some film of the last 2 games. Their defense has grown leaps and bounds. They are starting to use their size too. Not a bad sleeper pick imo.
Just contain #4 and #10 you win by 35+...coaching can be somewhat questionable at times....but #4 is a great athlete they play him all over i wouldnt kick it or punt directly to him.....if your QB floats it on deep passes he will probably pick it plays saftey
So it sounds like we should win fairly easy. I'm sticking with my Eagles to win by 4 tds. Our defense is our strong point. Spellman and Freshwater have been phenomenal for the most part.
Fairmont might be under dog.They beat St. Paul that beat red springs that beat whiteville.Defense held one state top rusher to season low an held red springs to only 160 yards total offense.If this waz basketball.This game would be over as soon Clinton took the floor.I waz to hard on my last post .We will show up an play the game.
the last time Clinton played Fairmont it was in fact basketball in 2018 and the Horses thumped Farimont in the eastern semi-finals to the tune of 80-56!
#34 I saw ya joke I don’t know anything about what they talking about Clinton fans never had that problem with anyone over there. My nephew played b-ball fo Clinton and graduated from there plus I had friends that went to that great school , no hate here nothing but respect! Can’t hate on who u don’t know for yourself!! The feelings mutual. I graduated from DHS in the 90s but always went to the town of wallace to enjoy the people. I have lots of friends there n I have family there a daughter to be exact but I never pulled for the football team there and I know n associate with alot of player from there. It's just that rivalry CHS n wallace always had but it's no bad blood tho.
Obviously no real issue with the people of Wallace/Teachey area just want to beat your team that one game every year...work with two guys who graduated and played for the dogs so its been fun going back and forth with them at work even cashed in off a friendly bet.....over the years i continue to follow several Wallace players who have burned us cause at the end of the day im just a fan of the game and like to see kids go on and be successful
Using that word hate kinda loosely tho not a fan of the team would have said it best for me tho. Sounds like bad blood to me.
NE has nothing on Wallace, Clinton, East Duplin, or SWO. NE is overrated year in and year out. No hate here, just facts. Just get tired of hearing how wonderful and Awesome NE is!!! Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't 1A Edenton Holmes beat NE this year????????? NEXT!!!
Not crazy about playing a conf foe we already beat in the 1st rd. I hope our kids understand how tough this can be. If our defense plays as it has the last 2 games we should be ok. I never thought a week ago I would be sharing this but after our big win against Washington for a conf title I talked to coach down on the field. He told me New Bern would not score on our defense. I told him please do not tell the team this!! Well it turns out we held them to only 7 in regulation. There was only a couple of drives that NB got multiple first downs. The first OT we held them on downs. So I think we should be able to do ok at home. I'm hoping we get to Clinton. Last year as I sat in Clinton's stadium watching them play WRH I kept thinking it would be great to get to play one of them in a playoff game. We have our chance this year if we carry our end. I could leave Clinton satisfied with a good close game. Just to be relevant! But we have to take care of business first!
Northeastern has nothing to prove!! We are a top team in the east every yr. That's a fact no one can deny. We must be wonderful if your tired of hearing it from everyone. Shows were doing something right. Not sure who your team is but if it's anyone other than Reidsville or WRH then we have nothing to prove. I could go on but it's pointless. Maybe if your team whoever it is has to play NE you'll want to make a lil wager. That is if your a betting man, some are not and I respect that. Aside from WRH what team from down south has beaten Northeastern in recent yrs?I'll just sit back and wait for your answer. Should I say NEXT,lol!!!! Clinton,SWE,WRH,NE,swo are all equal this yr imo. It's anybody's to win, no clear favorite.
I'm really happy for you Otis, Its great to not only have West Craven in the playoffs but to have them in 2a is even better.

I'm not going to post anymore up here until gameday. The closer it gets the more I worry about getting ousted by Goldsboro. In yrs past I wasnt worried one bit about any team in the east tbh. This yr I'm actually worried about every game and I'm going to be constantly checking to see how the other Friday night games are panning out. 3 things, We have proved that we don't play well at home. Our success this post season will depend on how well Biggie plays in his return from injury. Our announcers at Northeastern suck!!! They need me up there calling the game and getting the crowd pumped up. Terrible, just terrible. That's why it's so easy to win in Elizabeth City. It's just sad

Not sure what NE fan has predicted a state c ship. I'm the most outspoken and I definitely haven't. Clinton is my pick at the moment and have said so all along. No need to spread falsehoods.
Looking at updated stats congrats to senior J'Daques Wallace hit tha 1,000 yard mark on senior night against Midway.....normally having a back like this coupled with a stout defense spells success and this season falls in kine with that.....good week of practice then go time Friday night
