Me and Mrs Peeper agreed years ago no more gifting between us and gradually it grew to include other family members as well. Not just Christmas either for me and Mrs, we don't do birthdays or anniversary either. If we want something we go get it. It took a while to show my mom that we were just exchanging dollars with each other and she finally gave in. We give to our kids and grandkids and that's it! The kids get cash and the grands are easy to take care of because they are young. Christmas is so much easier now

Just get a tan Russell Athletic M-State hat every few years to replace the older one. That's all you really need.

I knew a guy who dabbled in woodworking who bought his wife a circular saw for Christmas.

They're now divorced.

But I see nothing wrong with the electric scrubber in the original post. it saves the knees. **

We agreed to the same but it never seems to work out that way. There's always one fairly minor gift. The last thing either of us needs is to have something else laying around the house.

Me and the Mrs are going to Vegas for a week to see the Eagles at The Sphere among other things next year as our Christmas presents . The extended family decided to draw names this year. Our tree looks pretty sparse this year. On the bright side we got a new septic system a few weeks ago so the $hitters definitely not full!

We thought about going to the sphere to see the eagles. Those tickets are sky high from what I’ve seen.

If you decide to go, you can get a package directly through the Venetian and Vibee. It includes however many tickets and rooms for two nights with additional nights available to add. It’s cheaper than trying to piece it together separately.

We are almost here with each other, but no where close with family. We are fortunate enough to be able to get what we want when we want. I literally can't think of anything to get myself, much less other family members. I love giving/getting gifts when it's something that the receiver doesn't know they need it, or if the giver has the opportunity to give something actually a little unique, but that's not something that's easy to just come up with.

Nice! I will keep that in mind if we go in the spring.

We haven’t given each other gifts in almost 10 years now. We give everyone else gifts but we both surprise each other throughout the year with things that we know the other wants.

This year, my wife and I gave each other a new washing machine. The washing machine sounded like it would break apart even after we had it serviced.

The wife & I bought a new bed this year as well as a new (to us) vehicle. Both sets of in-laws bought us a new washer/dryer earlier this year. If my father doesn't cut out pictures of these & wrap them, I'll be disappointed. It's what he used to do whenever they paid for ski trips with church in HS.

So, we put a dollar limit on what we could spend on each other. I told her that might not work, for we like surprising the other. We'll see in a few days how it pans out.

But we both agree we don't need more "stuff" just for the sake of something to unwrap.

I think technically you’re not supposed to admit to having more than one set of in-laws for legal reasons.**

Friend of mine bought a couple of tickets some months ago to see Adele in Las Vegas, around $1000 each. Then Adele canceled (or rescheduled) and no refunds. They were only going to be there a week, but were able to resell them. Don't know if she ever actually performed. I think she's stopped concerts now.

A real man having a woman on her knees, head crouch level would not have her facing the opposite direction looking at something as incidental as a vacuum.
