Come on dawgatauburn. Any coach that goes 31-49 at Arkansas with their facilites, tradition, and money is a doofus. One hot run at Kent State does not cover up that fiasco. This board would absolutely explode if Stansbury did that poorly. On second thought, no one on here would care because we would suck so bad that it would not even be interesting.

It's amazing the excuses people will make for other coaches but hold Stans to a higher standard.

Can you imagine how people would rip someone if they used the "program was in shambles" excuse for an MSU coach? People who tried to take up for Croom by saying that were ripped for sure.

This college basketball season is gonna be up and down for a lot of teams. BC just went into Chapel Hill and beat UNC then lost by 12 to Harvard at home. Harvard lost to powerhouses William and Mary and Boston University.

All I'm saying is that if you are going to compare Stansbury's body of work to Heath's then you have to consider the full body, not just the UArk years. Fact is, Heath made it to the Elite Eight, Stans hasn't. Stans has multiple West titles and an overall SEC title, Heath never did. Fact is that Heath is also struggling again in his second year at USF, and struggling badly, but it took him two years to get Arkansas competetive again after Nolan left him with Modica and not much else. Anyway, some people would rather have the tourney run that Heath had, some prefer ruling the West on a year to year basis. I would like some of both. I like winning the West, but I would gladly take a year or two of being in the middle of the pack for a team that was in the Elite Eight once every eight years. I don't think I would take three 4-12 years in that same eight year period though.
