50%. Since this board is apparently checked by "Dan the Man" himself, I figured that just like politicians, head coaches like to look at the polls. I wish there was an internal poll to put up and a click here and there and boom...you got a total number of votes and an approval rating.

For me, coach mullen was at 65% to begin with at the beginning of the season. That quickly fell to 40% after playing not to lose against OSU. It went up to 42.5% after Auburn since I credit the staff for sticking with the Dak Attack. It then went up to 50% after Troy. It can go anywhere from here out, but I'll give him another five percent if we play to win with Dak even if we still lose to LSU. If we beat LSU with Dak, I'll add 20% to my 50% to make 70%.

It's such a tumultuous world being a SEC coach. Ask the successful Mark Ritch at UGA where your approval rating is in the ditches at 0-2 last year, to probably 90% when they lost to BAMA in the SEC NTG.

I doubt Dan reads this board.
Off topic a little: on tv the crowd sounded great. I was a little concerned it would be flat after the Auburn loss.

Be surprised if Dan ever viewed this board. If so, then his time would be better spent studying film instead.

Losing to Auburn this year was a major deal. They are horrible.

Losing to that pathetic team is almost as bad as the Maine loss. We have waaay too much talent this year to havea bad loss like that during year 5

I think the problem here is that a lot of people have formed opinions based on games we haven't lost yet but are "certain" we will lose. We are 2-2 with losses to a good team and a not as good (but still 3-1) team. Nothing else has been decided yet. Sure, we will probably lose the majority of our remaining games, and when we do I may have a very negative opinion. I'm not gonna fault the man for games he hasn't lost yet, though.

I wouldn't go that far, but it was a devastating loss. Even still, it was an SEC game on the road. Wins in those are hard to come by. But we had the game won and gave the **** away.

I would think if we beat LSU, approval rating would be 100%...unless we lose to

Ole Miss and/or don't make a bowl.

35% - He went all off season without trying to address play calling issues, and it cost us a chance for a very good win against a big name opponent. That's a huge strike against him in my eyes. The Auburn game is very defensible. They are bad, but it was an SEC road game and we were fighting injuries. I think we win that game with Russell (provided the UM, Northwestern, and OkSt. Russell isn't the real Russell at this point), but that's why you can't pass up opportunities to improve in the SEC. The margin of error is razor thin and sometimes things will happen that are out of your control; you can't afford to waste opportunities that are within your control.

Had Dan won against Auburn, I'd still be satisfied. Whatever his flaws, beating the teams you're supposed to beat is damn hard, and if he continued to do that, that'd be enough. If he gets to 6-6 and we compete in every game, I'll be satisfied again and think we'll be able to start moving forward again next year (although we'll still have serious questions on the OL).
