Mulcahy’s was a liability the second half.
In the last 1:30 or so, he had an air ball, turnover under our basket, turnover on a weak lob pass in the backcourt. That’s just at the end of the game. Something needs to change, he’s been a disaster since MSU and Simpson just had arguably the best game of his career.

I can try to see the reasoning in playing Paul, but it’s clearly not working. (Trying to let him work his struggles out on the court.)
What does that say to the rest of the team? To Simpson who’s not being rewarded for his merit. Paul needs to be benched. Acceptance that you’ve been crappy lately probably would have been more beneficial to him than denial. After accepting it, then maybe he can work on redeeming himself. Two different mindsets and Pike’s decision hasn’t helped Paul or the team.

He also totally whiffed on the box out on the put back in last minute, was just standing there.
Running to the corner to get the inbounds was mind boggling. Worse when it was a turnover. He did the same thing last year, after a good run it all fell apart and never came back.
