U.S. Cellular has a voting for a coach of the year for those coaches that have made a big impact in the community. Coach Metzger was nominated and is currently 2nd in the voting for the coach of the year. Coach Metzger is a valuable member of the Southern Pines community and he’s had a tremendous impact on the football program. He has impacted the lives of his athletes in a positive way. He has encouraged them to be respectful, responsible and successful on the football field as well as off of it. He places a high value on integrity and faith, and he encourages his players to grow.
