Coach Snyder is a classy guy and isn't afraid to give credit where credit is due. He isn't afraid to give props to the players of other teams. I respect that.

Ditto. Snyder is first class all the way. Much respect for the man.

Switzer said Snyder was hands down, no contest, the best college football coach of the 20th century. Barry said there is no way he could, and challenged to name any other coach who could either. There is a great story of Snyder meeting with his loser players for the first time. Amazingly he backed up every single word. The young guys here may not realize KSU was the worst program in NCAA D-1-A history. Not enough adjectives to describe just how bad that program was.

Mm I made the statement a couple of years ago that Snyder was the best coach in the conference and I believe it was plaino who responded as though it was the craziest thing ever. I stick by my statement today, he is still the best

What is your problem? I don't post much here but I read almost every day. 90% of your posts are trying to start ****. Are you like 5 ft. 2 inches tall? Even if you are 6 ft 10 inches, you're are a mental midget. Grow up jerk.

Holy cow! Tic Toc! How have you been man? You still holding down the fort in Duluth? I hope you get to get away this winter. Heard it's gonna be a cold one.

Best coach in the conference IMO

Is he a great coach? Yes.
Is the turnaround he pulled off at KSU amazing? Yes.
Is he the best coach in the B12? No. He does more with less than any coach in America, but I'd put him behind Stoops as "Best Coach in the Conference."

I've always felt it's not really about comparing the two against each other. They have each done incredible jobs at their respective programs. The OU program has a much higher ceiling than the KSU program. So while Bob Stoops no doubt has won more conference titles, it's expected at a place like OU. What Snyder has done in my opinion, is on equal footing of impressiveness, although the overall ceiling at KSU is much lower. And I think it's fair to say that while Snyder may not be able to achieve at OU what Bob has done, it's just as fair to say Bob may not have been able to pull off at KSU what Snyder did, even though Bob did have a hand in that process as an assistant. But Snyder kept it going well after Bob left.

Duluth is "down south" for me now. I moved to the Masabi Range 90 miles north of Duluth. The cold doesn't bother me. It make the ladies seek warm places. Looking forward to some Sooner domination tomorrow. Lots of guys on SoonerScoop seem a little worried. Not me. Texas is horrible, I mean HORRIBLE. OU will put up hundreds of yards on the ground against these guys. Nice talking to you Medic. Gotta go choke a chicken. Do something about that Yankee guy. Send him to message board school or something.

Nice. I had no idea you went north. Well, as always, send me an email update from time to time and next time you're down the steak and lobster is on me.

Nope. Not even remotely close. I've actually met Tic Toc in person. He has no other name on the boards.

Tic Tulsan. lol. Good one.

Yankee, the last time I talked to Tulsan was at dinner in Tulsa some time ago. He doesn't post here anymore, I guarantee it. But if you ever see a poster named Tulsa Red, well, my guarantee is no longer valid.

Tic Toc, good to see you. I was actually thinking about you today when there was a discussion about someone on Orangebloods posting Bull's personal info and family photos. I was thinking about the time you posted Alpohornsker's ugly mug here. That was funny stuff. He faded away after that.

S22, is it a situation where Tulsan has decided not to return? I wish Tulsan was posting still. He was abrasive, belittling, and generally could be a total jerk, but ya know he backed up his posts with knowledge and he had a really good head on his shoulders about football. I never agreed with everything the guy said, and usually disagreeing with him you better have your crap together to hold up under his assault. lol ;) But no doubt I learned things about football while reading his posts, even though it could be incredibly frustrating at times.

I agree Billy. I wish he was still around. But I honestly believe he is finished with SoonerScoop. I think ST was one poster that the Orangebloods posters hated worse than Bullmarket. And that is saying a lot.

About Bill Snyder.... I agree that he is one of the great ones. He wasn't always such a nice guy. But I believe he is completely sincere in his kindness. Best coach in the Big XII? I don't think so. But I'm enjoying still having him around. He's a legend.

I believe had Bill Snyder been the OU coach with the squads OU had 2001-2008, he would have won a national championship, maybe two. The only thing that is questionable, IMO, is could he recruit at Oklahoma as well as Bob Stoops. I don't think so. And players are the keys to great coaching that wins championships. Ballsy...I know.

Tulsan hung it up for good according to him. I can't say I blame him. There are only a few of the long time posters still active. Back in the day this board was the board to read. Hell, often it had better info than the pay board. Even the visitors from other boards were top notch, minus the little angry munchkin alkohusker.

I remember when the photo of alkohusker was posted by Tic Toc. I couldn't quit laughing at the reality vs the board persona. alkohusker slinked away and made the whorn board his home. Until they called him out. Once the Nebraska board fellas got sick of his little man syndrome he disappeared.

Actual Tulsan quote.

Ya forgot that Tulsan was a HUGE Josh H supporter. Would actually be interested in hearing his opinion on the change to Riley.
