He seemed different after the game. Distracted. Just seemed to me that he was just matter of fact and not really enjoying the win. Was anything going on ?
Sorry hit post button accidentally. To finish I think he does regret not kicking the FG and making it a 4 point spread.I think he was happy with the W but not thrilled with our performance. That is good in my opinion. He will work on our mistakes this week. I do think he regrets
I just thought he looked tired. He seemed different after the game. Distracted. Just seemed to me that he was just matter of fact and not really enjoying the win. Was anything going on ?
I can believe it. Stein has just the right amount of crazy outwardly competitiveness that shows itself at specific times while at the same time holding pre and post game pressers that would have you guessing he was in his 15th season as HC.There was a video circulating on Facebook of Stein’s reaction to his defense blowing up the OU flea-flicker. Some were speculating that Stein was trash-talking the OU bench, claiming that he knew the play call. I don’t know if that is true or not, but certainly Stein looked locked in and competitive AF.

He wasn't happy our team offensively did not play good we found a way to win thanks to our defense
He wasn’t happy with the way we played. We thankfully made some clutch defensive plays yet again. That’s what makes him great. He’s not satisfied with just winning. He wants to win the way we should. That’s why we will be so good under him. He has a high standard! He seemed different after the game. Distracted. Just seemed to me that he was just matter of fact and not really enjoying the win. That is awesome. I love his confidence, it rubs off on our team. I think that’s why we come up with INT’s and fumbles so often when we need them. He always has them believing in themselves no matter how we are playing. There was a video circulating on Facebook of Stein’s reaction to his defense blowing up the OU flea-flicker. What shots suggest Stein took over playcalling?I think this is it. We actually played really poorly and it was pretty evident by the tv shot that he took over late game play calling that resulted in the td drive at the end. If we play even decent on offense we win that game more convincingly. Sloan had some really weird strategy on the run game that I bet was a point of contention during planning.
One thing I noticed from him the last few games is he seems to remind everyone we are a really good team. I think he's getting exhausted with the narrative we're somehow just lucky.

Probably pissed mark pope is the Kentucky basketball coach! He seemed different after the game. Distracted. Just seemed to me that he was just matter of fact and not really enjoying the win. Was anything going on ?
This isn't the first time I've seen him with the playsheet (it's obviously a condensed version) in his hands on the sideline during the game.It was on tv if you watched the broadcast. He had the playsheet out (which he never does) and looked pretty clearly to be calling the plays on that td drive in the fourth.

I don't think he's calling plays at all. If you watch the UnKut episode on YouTube, you can hear him communicating but he's not calling plays. It's just communication on down/distance, personnel and situations (have the two point play ready if we score, etc). I mean, I think he's got the last word, but I didn't get the impression at all he was exercising it. Granted, UnKut I watched was from the LSU game.Iirc it looked like he was calling some stuff vs a&m too. Its been rare but based on how he was speaking into the headset it sure looked like he was calling the plays.
