When you saw him, did he do much running or just stand in the pocket and throw it? What were his strengths? Weaknesses? Also, have I read that he didn't perform that well during the summer camps, but really turned it on during his senior season? This may explain the late interest by TCU and LSU.

looks like what you would imagine Relf looked like physically his Sr year of HS....

He is a QB that can run- not a runner playing QB
He has grown up in a Spread offense and has total command out there on the field. Very good pocket presence
Really good arm- threw the deep ball very well- tossed a fade pattern from the 50 and laid it on the front pylon for the WR to catch for a TD
He appears to be similar to Relf as a runner- runs tough but appears a little shiftier than Relf- but not a Terrell Pryor type by any means

He has a chance to be the QB for us in 2012- he will have had 2 Springs under his belt by then...but needs to RS in 2011..

I watched him play against AirLines High School (I think?) one weekend and I left very impressed.

I was extremely impressed with Dak's arm and ability to throw the ball. He threw a few balls 40+ and they were right on the money. Not only that, but ever one was a tight spiral. I dont think Dak is as physical as Relf.

Dak really reminded me of Jimmy Johns in high school, but with a much better arm. He can make plays happen with his feet, but he's not looking to run every down.

We certainly have a good one.

is horrible. He's basically throwing a bunch of screen passes and hitches with a couple of deep throws- and I think both were incomplete.

That said, I've seen another video that was much better on youtube and more like what people have been saying.

I don't know why the put together such a crappy highlight video, though.

Just saying. I'm sure the MSU fans that thought he would leave for LSU were being typical "woe is me" State fans.

That DandyDon guy was the only one really saying that he was probably going to LSU, but I didn't buy it because he is a big homer. That may have been where the LSU fans were getting their info from. Or they may have been delusional.

as much as it's simply realizing that it's real hard to take a kid out of Louisiana if LSU really wants him.
