Schiano #13? Yeah, I'm going to give those rankings credence. His seat is not hot going into this season. Now if the team tanks, his seat will definitely be hot next year.
Even then, I think that's only true if the recruiting class somehow slips through his fingers, à la Kyle Flood in 2014.

Greg could drop a steaming 3-9 season on us in 2023, and he'd still ride this potentially top-25 class into 2024 with optimism and patience for a young group of highly regarded blue chippers.

Schiano and Allen are ice cold they aren't going anywhere. Now Mel Tucker, boosters don't pay that type of money to lose. Same goes for Jimbo, boosters aren't paying $30 to 40 mil. a year for players to lose.

Agreed. Schiano isn't going anywhere this year. Now if the team goes out and stinks it up this season to the tune of like 3-9 or worse, he absolutely will be on the hot seat in 2024.

This is site is often brought up here but it’s a bunk site that’s not credible.

You’re better off looking at mainstream reporters who sometimes put out lists like this and are at least likely to be grounded in some reality.

Another **** show next year and he's still safe. University ain't firing him and paying out the 3 years. That's the problem. And the '24 class will vanish after 0 or 1 conference wins.

Thank Pat. BTW, please tell me you're not in his will. It sure seems like it, giving him such undeserved $$.

Should be fired if they do that.

I’m not a huge GS fan, but good lord man, these types of posts are why you get mocked here. Talking about a horrible season and vanishing recruiting class as if they’re certain? Get outta here. No way you’re a Rutgers fan.

Is a hypothetical. Same as the other posts above. To be clearer, IF….0-1 conference wins….the ‘24 class will, you know ….

Not a fan of Dodd's list. I think a lot of these guys are safe for another year. He did get Fitz right but not in the way he intended. Still its fun to speculate.

I think your one win off - 3 is the magic number and it was probably 2 (to get another year) before this NW debacle. He’d probably still survive 3-9 but it would now be tenuous. It’s unlikely NW retains all of their players and who knows what will happen with media pressure to get rid of more staff. IMO this puts additional pressure on Schiano for that first game. If he’s anything worse than 3-2 now going into the Wisconsin game, losing out wouldn’t cut it.

Schiano has too many years left on his contract to be on the hot seat, unfortunately. But I think the list is less about who's in real danger of being fired than about who is falling short and testing the patience of fans and athletic departments. In that case, Schiano definitely belongs there.
