Campbell is making $1 million. Is that the going rate for a S&C guy?
I try to be the last guy complaining about salaries because I think worrying about the money is pointless. Yet, I too am shocked by CC's $1M salary. I know the S&C guy probably spends more time with the athletes than any other coach, but still...

I got downvoted to oblivion on the Huskers subreddit for saying the $416k paid to Snow could be put to better use. Then I asked for anybody to tell me what he actually does, and THAT got downvoted to oblivion too but nobody would answer the question. 😆

I compare it to tithing at church. I contribute, but it’s not my job to tell the church how to spend the money. Same with Nebraska football… I contribute a little bit, but it’s not my job to tell them how to spend the money.

That said, It is pretty hard to justify this payroll with the results produced. I’m not sure many would argue with that.

The “congregation“ does take notice if there is mismanagement at the top. I have my own opinions about this payroll, but I would rather they just produce results and the payroll becomes almost irrelevant.

I wasn't complaining. I was just asking if this is the going rate for a S&C guy.

Corey Campbell got a 54% raise from 650k to a million, I don't know the fine details of strength and conditioning to say if that's earned or not.
Look on the field. Sharp reported that multiple Big Ten officials at the bowl game said that they couldn't believe how unathletic the players were physically and during warm ups prior to the game. Hell no Campbell doesn't deserve a raise. He deserves to be fired.

Has Rhule fired anyone who had a history with him before he came here? I know that he demoted Satterfield and Foley, but they are both still on his staff.

Seems like a good one. I like how he leads the team out on the field on game day. He owns it. But the way the team fades in the fourth quarter and at the end of the season is not a good look for strength and conditioning. And personally, I don't care to read about the defensive linemen getting trimmed down either. We need a lot more power in the line. Don't care how they look in the mirror.

Look it up. Nobody rewards underachievement like Dannon does. But let's give it a few weeks, then we can hear again about how the athletic department needs more money.
Only idiotic thing he has done is given Rhule an extension.
Where is the other underachievement raise has he given?

Idiotic is your word, not mine. I look at a huge raise as a reward and the team underachieved. But as far as Dannon's reputation goes the Rhule extension is enough. Wouldn't you think? But if I have to add someone, take your pick of the assistants that got raises. I like Campbell, but there's nothing in last year's results that warrants a massive raise.

Do you think Dannen sits in his office and still thinks that it was a great idea to extend MR? Or do you think he sits there in regret every day minus the first day after he extended MR's contract?

Again, Dannen extending MR is his "hire". So, when MR fails, Dannen is gone too, but my guess is both dont give a sh*t because they are both gonna get paid beyond their years at NU anyways.

Good times at NU.

I don’t look at like that it was Trev’s hire, because Dannen gave him extension had more to do Rhule agent playing Dannen.

I think MR knows his days in Lincoln are numbered, but he's making coin for a VERY long time regardless where he is in 2-3 years.
Being in the B1G is an ATM for the Nebraska AD.

And so it goes. Dannen is just fortunate that most all other programs are doing well.

I think the people that Dannen answers too tells him he is doing a fabulous job. I don’t think their gage is W-L but $.

Matt is doing exactly what they want. Cheap on everything but himself. Cheap on NIL. Cheap on hiring coordinators. Matt’s only ask is to take care of certain people, such as coach snow.

and so I don’t have to explain it again to idiots like realcuckosmallpeepeebigbelly, yes keeping NIL down effects the university. The university competes for donations from boosters with NIL. Donors has $10MM pledged. The university wants that $10MM for its assets, to pour concrete. It doesn’t want it going to the students. The only reason to pay players is to win. The only reason to win is to increase revenue, we are top 10 in rev so why?

Have any of you guys seen the team warm up for practice?

it’s seriously like 20 minutes, and it’s Campbell time.

He makes more than Georgia and Ohio State's, I just picked two top teams to check. His current salary would be the 2nd highest paid strength coach in the country.

Well at least he’s putting in the hours at a critical function. More than can be said for a couple of these guys.

Just a $25 million goof up, no big deal. Just imagine if you told your boss that. I'm sure they might agree.

These people don't give a **** about the results of their decisions. They get paid and get their golden parachute either way.
