It's much closer to SEC football, meaning it is 17ing hard to win in the SEC. We are 4 years removed from being the worst MSU baseball has been in decades, and Cohen has us very competitive with the top teams in the country and a year removed from a Super Regional. I still do not understand how everyone thinks we should be so dominant right now. Cohen has recruited well, but the other SEC teams that have been finishing in the top 10 every year since Polk was here, are able to recruit a little better right now, for obvious reasons. We've lost half of our games by a single run, and most of those losses came with key players injured. If we catch a break or two and win 3 of those 7 games, we could possibly be 24-11 and 8-6 in the SEC. That's a fine line from being near the bottom and near the top. 3 runs. And if we were 24-11 everybody would be fine right now. Once again, that's 3 runs separating us from that record.
And the comparisons to Stansbury are laughable at this point. It's almost like some of you want to get back at the ones that were saying Stan's should have been fired, by trying to stir up enough **** to get Cohen fired. Stansbury wasn't losing games this past year to Duke, Michigan State, Kansas, and North Carolina by 1 or 2 points.....he was losing to Georgia, Auburn, LSU and other shitastic teams by 7-10. And he had more talent than they did. Cohen is losing 1-run games to top 10 teams with more talent, and was in the Sweet 16 last year. There is no comparison with those two.
