I hope it continues for the rest of the season. BUT only an idiot or someone with an agenda would argue it's been great up to tonight's game.

Our overall hitting has been fine...
The situational hitting has left alot to be desired. Tonight, we hit well with risp, and that was the major difference on the scoreboard. We will get progressively better and better in this regard with experience...

to the back end of the lineup. Britton is really the only concern. Everyone else has shown flashes of good hitting, but Britton has just been a complete liability in the lineup. I think his glove has gotten more sound, but I really would like to see him step up and take strides at the plate. He's certainly a work in progress... but overall, I like the moves Cohen made in the lineup.

I love this team. Love the way we play. We compete every game. We do have some work to do on our situational hitting, but we're young and I'm okay with growing if we play like this.<div>

I've been disappointed with a few of the games so far. Glad to see they had a good night. I was giddy over the Cohen hire. Just thought we should have been a little further along in his 4th year. Maybe we will be by the end of the year. And I ain't a hater. Just been a little disappointed as I said.

Our team batting average has been consistently in the middle of the SEC- I think we were tied for sixth coming into tonight and as Coach said we were only a point behind Arkansas for fifth.
But we were near the bottom in runs.
The power and situational hitting- those are things improve with experience. My hope is that both improve as the season goes along, and that appears to be the case. I hope that continues to be the case.

We have no talent or depth. Reaching a Super Regional in Year 3 was a fluke. 20% of your entire roster being injured is just an excuse. Outscoring Top 15 LSU on the weekend doesn't matter. Blah, blah, blah.......
Fact is, Cohen has us heading in the direction we all want to go. By all rights we should've taken 2 of 3 from a top 15 team on the road last year, while missing our 4 most experienced players, 2 best hitters, and a weekend starter. Now we come out and spike #3 Arkansas to start this weekend. I also don't think it's any coincidence our offense looked better tonight with CT returning to the lineup, even though he struggled at the plate. He still got on base and did some good things. Plus, he's a guy that opposing pitchers know they have to be careful pitching to.
Now if Cohen would stop being so 17ing stubborn about Britton and put Demarcus Henderson in the middle infield, we might really see something. That's really my only complaint so far this season. Hell, Brayden Jones in the lineup as 3B isn't as big a black hole as Britton is.

Is rated as the third best sophomore in the country regardless of position by Baseball America and has the lowest ERA on the Arkansas pitching staff among starters.
I'm not happy with our performance, but there is no reason to be ashamed about it either.
Just have to win tommorrow.
