It would have been if we were all watching Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan battle it out for another title.

According to NY Times here is the cost of doing business in the portal this yr. QB: $1M to $4M OT: $600K to $1.3M RB: $400K to $900K WR: $500Kto $1M TE: $300K to $900K Edge rushers: $500K to $2M Interior DL: $500K to $1.5M Corners: $250K to $1M Safeties: $250K to $900K
So, to get some idea of the total cost to field 22:

1 QB: $1M to $4M
5 OT: $3M to $6.5M (assume center and guards about the same)
1 RB: $400K to $900K
3 WR: $1.5 to $3M (assume all receivers about the same)
1 TE: $300K to $900K
----------
Offense: $6.2M to $15.3M

2 Edge rushers: $1M to $4M
5 Interior DL: $2.5M to $7.5M (assume linebackers about the same)
2 Corners: $500K to $2M
2 Safeties: $500K to $1.8M
----------
Defense: $4.5M to $15.3M
----------
Total: $10.7M to $30.6M

Of course, there are a lot of other players to pay but maybe this is the start of an estimate of the pay gap between the haves and the have nots???

Yea but then you have to factor in intelligent player evaluation, Cignetti will have a very rare bust rate, whereas a few morons who shall remain nameless will pay top dollar for a tomato can with a bad attitude

Yes all 4 remaining teams are magically better than other elite programs that have out spent them for 4 years and counting. Randomly perfect for the sport. Totally random.

It's like believing recruits choose OM for the "nations most beautiful campus". Something that was claimed during the Freeze regime.

Or, let's just call the obvious the obvious. You're a complete and utter dumba$s dealing with cope, since you are batting .000 on this every step of the way

Lol I know State stinks but improved slightly this season. I do think it's insane and stupid to drop 8 figures a year on a roster. I'm also certain we were gifted the Arkansas win this season. I try to be objective. You should too.

When you see a statistical anomaly like we are seeing this year with Georgia, Ohio State and Bama not in the final 4 teams, you can choose to believe it's all 100% real. Planets aligned, lightning struck twice, etc.

The end result is a playoff more fans will watch and care about. Who wants to watch Ohio State play Georgia or either of them win the title again? Most fans would skip that boring repeat. What sucks for OM, should they beat Miami, is that the best story for college football right now is what's going on at Indiana. That's like a Disney made for TV feel good special. (As opposed to the shìt show that NIL is currently)

This is pretty accurate imo. Of course you have the top 10 outliers which are closer to 50

Has nothing to do with State lol. So much for your "congrats to Ole Miss on 1 and done in the playoffs for nothing" take weeks ago before the selection show. You literally have been wrong every step of the way.
