Two minutes left in the first half. Steal and monster dunk to cut it to ten. Made up for a previous bad play. Respect. He made some good plays instead of folding after bad ones. Everybody balled second half.

I like it. Ik what you are talking about. Collin gets that look in his eyes once he gets pissed off. Someone should start going in the locker room before the games and start slapping these guys and talking about their mammas. Get fired up we are decent when we play pissed off.One thing I'll say about Collin is he wants the smoke.
Kid is not scared to compete.
In the Bama game Phillion and Holloway were hunting the matchup with Chandler and even though those guys got the better of him, he always accepted the challenge.

Dilly was super quick and shifty, not a great facilities or defensive playerChandler doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as dillingham.
I thought CC did some really good things against LSU. He made a couple of huge threes, and mostly guarded well. Fans seem to only notice when certain guys get scored on.Two minutes left in the first half. Steal and monster dunk to cut it to ten. Made up for a previous bad play. Respect. Collin is a facilitator, does not force shots, and is a good defender. Has unlimited range on his 3 point shot.
Hopefully, he has turned the corner after several poor games in a row. We really need him to play like he did in the LSU game.
Not many players have Dilly’s skills.
Did I state that Bigblue in my post? I did state that few had Dilly’s skills. It is getting difficult to post an opinion without getting attacked. Disagree with me fine. You don’t need to attack me, I may be a nice guy!We really reached the delusional stage of trying to say Chandler is as good as dilly. Ok. If we made it this far in the thought process, nothing anyone says will change your mind.
Have thought from the first time seeing CC play that unlocking him is going to be one of the key ingredients for Pope.
He’s just got that “it” factor to him. One of those dudes who isn’t the most talented, doesn’t have highest ceiling compared to some of the elite NBA potential guys, but he’s clearly a factor.
He reminds of a lot of Dukies, Zags, and couple of those Wisconsin players during their little peak run.
White boy who isn’t the key/best player on the team or court but in the mix affecting the game, annoying, and at the end the opposing team and fans are scratching their head saying “who the F was that”
Can’t help but like his heart and effort, but his man always out scores him.

He responded to me and stated I was delusional. That is attacking me - I don’t know this guy and will never meet him but that is not necessary. I don’t call out posters for their opinions, even when they don’t agree with me but he did. Got him on ignore so it does not really matter. It isnt an attack. Just a disagreement. It happens on a message board.
Yeah I saw that yesterday but I just can’t believe it. I swear I think Rob was in the upper 40% from 3pt until the end of the year where he ended up settling in the lower 40% from 3. He and Reed were fairly close a good chunk of the year in 3pt%.found on twitter, not making claims to accuracy

I would like to see the kid get to play his natural position at the 2 or 3 spot. He hasn't had a chance due to injuries the last 2 years.Have thought from the first time seeing CC play that unlocking him is going to be one of the key ingredients for Pope.

collin "unlimited range" chandler is 8-31 from three since december. an impressive 25% over 11 games.Dilly was super quick and shifty, not a great facilities or defensive player

If he had hit just one more thee up to this point (actually less than one). He’d be a 40% 3 pt shooter on the year.collin "unlimited range" chandler is 8-31 from three since december. an impressive 25% over 11 games.
kid has been a disaster in all phases of the game for 5 weeks and finally had an OK game and in classic rafters fashion...we get a thread like this. glad he played well and contributed, but he doesn't have a "bag" as the kids say.
Yeah you get judged on your whole body of work just not the last month. If he shoots like crap the rest of the year and ends up under 30% then you can say his 3 point shooting was horrid. He is one of the few guys who gives 100% and is unselfish sometimes to unselfish. He may not be all sec material but guys like him are on every good team.If he had hit just one more thee up to this point (actually less than one). He’d be a 40% 3 pt shooter on the year.
Agree, he is too unselfish at times. Looking to pass first. Shooting in the high 30s on 3 pointers probably leads the team. Still just a Sophomore so his best is still in front of him. I have acknowledged his bad performances in 5 or so straight games - name one player on this team that has not had bad performances this year.Yeah you get judged on your whole body of work just not the last month. I guess I am a “classic rafters” person that roots for this kid that has been “a disaster”. I won’t stop rooting for Collin, Mo, and all these guys. They are kids under the microscope and the terrible games against quality opponents have not helped their plight. Im with you and would like to see him go to the rim more. The dude can jump out of the gym lol. Would be nice to beat the vols tomorrow. Had to listen to their smack since the sweet 16.Agree, he is too unselfish at times. Looking to pass first. Shooting in the high 30s on 3 pointers probably leads the team. I see some light at the end of the tunnel. OO has played extremely well lately and hopefully Denzel turned the corner against LSU. Jelly could be the key as he can shoot, pass, rebound, and play decent enough defensively. If he can play the 4 spot, it opens up the floor when he draws his defender outside for drives and provides more opportunities for Denzel, Kam , Collin, and JJ. If these 5 can hit some 3’s, the Zoom will provide back cuts to the basket. A win at UT would be huge for momentum and confidence and would put us back in the race.

You made a mistake of stating facts that seem in favor of Pope. A large chunk of the board is dead set on humiliating anyone who doesn’t agree to the majority opinions and they are seeking to make this site an echo chamber. They’ve ran off many good posters recently. Thanks Blues and agree that ignore is the best option

I have been on this board since 2018. I took a hiatus this past summer and forgot my logon so I had to reup. I have been “pounded” many times in the past. I have been following the Cats fervently since the 69/70 team. You made a mistake of stating facts that seem in favor of Pope. oweh on the season is shooting 38% from three, higher since december. yet every one here hates him and groans when he shoots threes. If he had hit just one more thee up to this point (actually less than one). He’d be a 40% 3 pt shooter on the year.
Probably because he's an already married Mormon who doesn't drink or party by default.Colin strikes me as one of those guys that we're going to love his Senior year - super consistent performer, leader and a guy that will be an integral part to a long tourney run
kind of a Darius Miller , maybe with more playing time.

Oweh is another one that is one made three from 40%. Aberdeen is right at 1 more make from being there too. JJ at 1.4 additional makes. I know those are ifs and buts but based on my perception of how bad a shooting team this is, I was surprised how “good” (relatively speaking here) the numbers are. Just a few made threes from having 5 40% three point shooters(counting Noah) and that’s with Williams on the rise.oweh on the season is shooting 38% from three, higher since december. yet every one here hates him and groans when he shoots threes.
good thing chandler had those 3 games to start the season though....havent seen that since. in fact havent seen much of anything since....
You’re really reaching. So much bull s**t. I never hear CMP mentioning his religion everyday. Is he a good man. Yes. I would think a parent would want their son around a good role modelProbably because he's an already married Mormon who doesn't drink or party by default.
His real age may be 21 (or whatever) but his normal person living life age is like 35.
I wish more people would talk about Pope's Mormonism beliefs as a potential reason why recruits don't want to come here, but no one seems to have the guts. I don't even know if it's allowed.
However, think about it. Most of these recruits are young African Americans, many growing up poor in single mother family households. With NIL, now they are instant millionaires.
You don't think some of the best are looking forward to going out partying (on off nights) with college girls all over them?
You don't think the best prioritizes money and access to nice things over being watched over 100% of the time?
They want to get to the NBA, get rich, and bang chicks.
This directly goes against Pope's morality. He has them on a tight leash. Probably can't drink, doesn't want them out at bars, doesn't want them having pre marital relations. That's not fun. I mean, Wilt Chamberlain was good and look at him. I mean Pitino was hooking up these guys with escorts for a reason lol.
Do you really think most top recruits want to hear Pope preaching about God everyday?
Good thing On3 doesn't have a down vote button, lol.
Agree. I think he thinks he makes them stay in every night for bible study. There are Christian coaches too. They let kids live their lives within reason of course. You’re really reaching.
