you take away the guy who is your whole offense - you can't expect to win. He might suck as a coach but he deserved a year with Luck and/or Manning playing.

Without Peyton, he's a walking headset incapable of putting together a game plan and motivating a team. Sure Peyton is irreplaceable, but not 2-14 irreplaceable.

with Peyton as his QB. Like I said, the Colts really didn't get a chance to get a decent QB with the lockout and Peyton under the assumption he might come back at some point during the season. He was playing with a short deck.

Houston won games with TJ Yates. Seattle won with Tarvaris Jackson. Even Matt Moore played well enough for Miami to win some games. But 2-14???? That's on the coach.

Let me say how happy I am that we made the move today. You people that brag about how good his record is? Let me say that's basically Peyton compensating for Caldwell's lack of coaching? In his tenure he didn't make the playoffs this year (minus 18), made a bonehead *** timeout call last year that gave the Jets time to line up & kick a FG, and was completely OUTCOACHED in the Super Bowl vs. Sean Payton. He looked like a deer in headlights in tight games & still this year basically is a figurehead. Peyton runs practice w/out Caldwell's presence (which is horrifically stupid)! I love Peyton & think he's the 2nd best QB today & argueably top 5 All-yime. But he's not a 17ing coach! He has far too much say so & this year it bit them in the *** w/ him not being healthy & on the field. It's time to start over.....period! New GM, new coach, new OC, new DC & a future @ QB.
