Fisher cheap-shotted Scola and got tossed (flagrant 2). Kobe elbowed Artest in the throat which set off Artest and he got tossed.

Should be a good series.

Throw in a Houston Rocket meltdown on the bench by Von Wafer vs Adelman and you've have a circus tonight.

It was priceless when Fisher decked him. If ever a flagrant foul was worth it, that one was. Artest is still a freaking psycho of a ticking time bomb. It was a matter of time before he exploded.

i still don't understand the scola/odom fiasco from right before. but derek fisher - that was totally out of the left field. if dwight howard got suspended for his elbow, fisher should too. and for that matter, they should seriously look at the elbow kobe threw.

kobe is a punk. you can't stop him when he's on, but he's a punk. if i was artest, i would have been pissed too. kobe elbowed him in the throat, and artest got called for the foul. i like that artest chased kobe down. i think the ref thought he did a neck-slash sign, and tossed him, when artest was just showing how kobe elbowed him. someone needs to hit kobe in the mouth.

after the game, charles barkley about the house/alston head slap: "those are two dudes who can't fight." barkley on kobe/artest: "there are lots of guys that you would want to fight. ron artest is not one of them." hilarious.

Then Kobe does not deserve to be suspended for the elbow. Artest is 10 times the punk Kobe will ever be. I can't recall Kobe ever going into the crowd to fight with fans.

and i guess probably shouldn't, because they were boxing out for the rebound.

i also don't recall anyone in the crowd hitting kobe with a cup of beer. i'm not saying artest was right to go into the stands, but it wasn't without provocation. kobe's punkitude is way more than artest's, simply because he thinks he's god's gift to basketball.

and, by the way, the pass kobe threw himself off the backboard should have been called travelling. no way was that a legitimate shot at the basket.</p>

Isn't it so fitting that the the ref who has always had the Rockets at the top of **** list gets the call to work game 2 after the Rockets steal game one in LA? There was no way in hell the NBA was going let the Rockets get a plane back home up 2-0. Everyone in Houston yesterday was talking about exactly how this was going to play out with Crawford officiating and boom. Dead on. It is so blatant.

TNT showed Kobe elbowing Artest ONCE, from one 17ing camera angle. The showed Artest elbowing Kobe 25 times from 7 diffrent camera angles like it was the JFK asssassination.

and yes I'm a Rockets homer.

I hope the Rockets put a bounty on Fisher. I would love to see that punk's teeth spread out all over the court. Kobe did throw an elbow
and I know Artest is a character, but he was wronged on that call.

Bottom line...this series will be fun to watch.

The rest of the series will be entertaining and probably very physical. I can see Artest pulling out a gun ala "The Last Boy Scout" if the Lakers take command in Houston......which they will. If Houston would just throw the ball to Yao every trip down court then they would have a better shot at winning but too often Houston's guards forget they have a 7'6 Chinese guy on the court with them.
Anyway, screw the Rockets. I still hate them for putting Magic and company out of the playoffs with the Twin Towers back in 1986.

except for a few calls.

yao ming's fifth (i think) was on an offensive rebound, where he grabbed the rebound and gasol reached in and got his arm stuck, but yao was called for the foul for pushing away gasol's stuck arm. that was a big call.

the biggest, though, was with the rockets down 6 or so midway through the fourth. lowry drove to the basket and made the bucket. walton (or maybe it was someone else) slid in underneath him to take the charge. problem was, his heels were clearly on the circle under the basket, so it should've been a blocking foul. no basket, ball the other way, and the lakers make a basket. 5 point swing, mostly thanks to a terrible call.
