Davis-Wade Stadium will always be Scott Field to me, as I am sure it is the same for many other longtime Bulldogs.

With the impending closure of the endzone, I feel we should come up with a new name for the place. I am suggesting "<font color="#990033">The Boneyard</font>". We all know that DWS was built on top of a burial ground and this may be a good way to please the Native-Americans.

Nothing sounds gayer than "Welcome to the Rock" when the USM fan refers to his stadium as such.

kind of like "The Junction" is terrible? Or that "new" Bully suit?

Face it, as State fans- we have no traditions other than losing.

"junction" has been attached to the area of "The Junction" for longer than 50 years.

a shirt I saw on someone during the 99 or 2000 football season that said "Dogs of Death Defense" or something similar and had a bulldog holding up two tombstones with statistics. I always took a liking to that.

Stop trying to 17ing force nicknames and traditions on all things MSU. Nicknames happen spontaneously, not 30 months in advance. The swamp got its name from an interview Spurrier did about how the swamp is where gators live. The Big House got it's name because at a time, it was the largest stadium in the US.

Relax dude, we may not be Florida or Michigan, but we're sure as hell better than the Boneyard.

You are correct. That term has been around for quite some time. Early '70's at least.

The thing about nicknames and branding, I think everyone thinks new things are stupid. Until one day 20 years from now when everyone gets over it, it just sticks, and you cannot imagine whatever it is without that nickname.

Like the Junction. It just works with its history and it is easier to accept it. So even if it is stupid, like the dawg pound, 20 years from now it will be second nature.

I say make it the Pogue stadium, if he would let our committed recruits call our head coach before he sends them down the river to TSUN.

The way everyone has reacted to the news, this is the only way to fix it.
By the way, everyone get over it. We were played, so what. C.J. has terrible moral fiber. 17 it.
