Confidence in US colleges is declining with remarkable speed

Just 2 decades ago WVU was graduating a significant number of students that were barely worthy of high school diplomas. Universities are just paper mills where if the money is good and the student does a trivial amount of mostly pointless busy work, they'll print you a useless diploma.
The fast foodification of higher learning will do that, when literally anyone can go to college whether it be traditional learning or UofP type schools. WVU is part of that, doing whatever it took to keep terrible students academically eligible to continue in school and cutting tuition checks. There were tons of people who had no business being in school that came out of WVU with a degree in “MDS” which is 3 minors and 2.0 GPAs, that was in 2006-10, can only imagine how much more it has depreciated to keep the money train flowing.
