I am kind of thinking the University of Duke was intentional....

....I am sure I am not the only one who has said that -- I'll take off my Captain Obvious cape now.

Absolutely intentional. It was a troll. I'll even agree with our friends in the Bluegrass State on this one (while simultaneously dismissing the fact that he doesn't know the name of the university as being just plain dumb). He did it as a dig, to give them approximately two seconds of false hope. "The University of... wait for it... he's gonna say Kentuck....... Duke?! What?!?" Yeah. 100% intentional. Perhaps, like many recruits, he too reads the comments written about him by the Kentucky fans who LOVED him, then HATED him, when the Crystal Ball favored Duke, then again LOVED him when some said his prolonged decision process favored Kentucky. And if so? Good on him. It served as the side dish for the crow that so many of their fans so richly deserve.

Can someone help me with this?? Why do so many of those goofballs say that Tatum and Giles are the same player?? Believe I saw it over at the Tar Hole board as well.

Because they're desperate to create a narrative that Duke is somehow weaker for signing two such players. It's reasonable, on the part of Kentucky fans to do so. They feel like they, more than anyone else, deserve these players. Hell, I believe I read one post there where this was explicitly stated. As for Carolina fans... they've just forgotten what it is like to land a top-5 recruit. So cut them some slack. The closest they get to class full of McDonalds All-Americans nowadays is a 5 piece Chicken McNuggets.

Look at how upset they still over at RR. LOL!!! And yes, we know that "Mama Bolden" forced Marques to go to Duke. No way he actually wanted to go to Duke himself. Ha haaaa. And They always brag about being the winningest program of all time. Well, yeah, you do play in the sh***y *** SEC. Not too difficult to rack up a bunch of wins there.

All they have left is to brag about their halcyon days of yore. The best part of this is the realization by some of their less-delusional fans that, while Calipari has indeed excelled in recruiting (and again, he has another monster class) he has one championship to Duke's (and UConn's) two. That stings. A lot.

So, they have resorted to rationalizing their inability to close the deal by creating several ridiculous narratives.

"His mother holds his leash!"

"Duke has only won by cheating!"

"Bla, bla, bla..."

I suppose this is why I find many Kentucky fans hilarious.

And to make matters worse, UConn beat UK twice, and Duke beat the team that knocked out UK in their championship runs. I love it

Wow, just read some more of that crap. It is eating them up that he said Duke would prepare him better to get to the NBA than Kentucky. That is supposed to be "their thing" . It's funny how they think some of the guys that have came through that program the last few years would have not been lottery picks had they not gone to UK. Anthony Davis could have went to Limestone College in Gaffney S.C and been the #1 pick that year. Bolden wanted to go to Duke not Kentucky, move on.

Yep, they always use guys like Unibrow, Cousins and Towns as proof that Cal is the best developer of big men in the game. Lol, total dolts.

A bit of an aside, but I think of this when comparing the two coaches and their "development" of players: would Cal have gotten the 2010 Blue Devils to a national championship? Conversely, with all the talent Cal had on that 2010 Kentucky team, would K have gotten them to at least a FF and probably a national title? Absolutely

Also remember Giles and Tatum were Bolden's fake friends while Fox, Gabriel, Bam, Monk and SKJ were Bolden's real friends:rolleyes:

Living in Cincinnati OH, an area that is majority UK basketball and OSU football fans (both the worst) it sure is sweet the run Duke has been on.
Everyone claims we "stole" UK's 2010 and 2015 titles, even though we smoked WVU and beat Wisconsin twice.
Bolden is sort of the cherry on top, for now, I expect a lot more cherries in the future.

How does one "steal" a title? I mean, is it fair that UK fans feel every title they do not win was "stolen" from them? Or, is it only when Duke wins that it's "stolen"? I'm curious. Is there a Kentucky fan who is lurking who would like to provide clarification? Bonus points if you (the lurker) can do it without the predictable pity party diatribe about how rough you have it and how easy Duke has it.

I believe it is because many UK fans claim that their 2010 and 2015 teams were even better than the 2012 title team.
What they fail to mention is that the 2010 team lacked any outside shooting and the 2015 team still started the Harrison twins.

Yeah, but Duke only won it in 2010 (as well as every other time) because the selection committee makes sure they give Duke the easiest path to a championship. Just ask any Tar Hole or UK fan...

Someone should point out to the UK fans that year that they had Cornell, enough said; also, UNC should have had an easier path that year, or did I just imagine they were in the NIT? Haha

I came to the conclusion about 50 years ago that most unc* fans are full of crap. Danged I miss Heyman25 at times like this. He has a special way with the way he words things if you get my drift. OFC
