I don't claim to be a football expert like Coach, but I do know this...
Dee didn't get torched this year like Banks did, is a legit "lockdown CB", and is projected to be the first DB taken in the draft (as a Junior)...
I think both project VERY well at the next level.

I saw them both play.
Dee's a harder hitter, better at breaking up passes, is quicker, and can get to the quarterback. Banks won because he's a ball hawk, did a little return work, has a good story, and is a senior.
If awards = facts, then Bo Wallace is the best football player in MS this year.
I'm glad Banks won, and he SHOULD have won - not because he's the best DB country, but because it's part of how awards like that work. For example, Manziel is clearly the best college football player this year, but Manti Te'o was awarded the Maxwell award instead, because he's a senior, and Manziel will obviously win the Heisman.
