I know that this is a women's sport, but this is going to be good publicity for MSU. The US Women's softball team is one of the top women's sports teams in this country and the world.
Hopefully softball will get back in the Olympics so that Jay can coach there.
As far as the impact on MSU, well you better believe that there are some girl's that want to get into USA softball that are going to take note and might want an opportunity to get an "inside track" on the US team and come to Starkville.
I know that the last coach (checking man card at the door) was from the University of Arizona and they had a couple of players from their past teams on the roster.
Hopefully he will get Jenny Finch to move to Old Waverley. (Man card taken back)
