It's really hard not to like MSU and even harder not to appreciate what Dantonio has accomplished there. MSU was Michigan's little brother forever, but no more. Congrats MSU.

The Coach is pretty classy too.
You really think Dantonio is classy? I guess how he handled losing to NU was respectful. I'll give him that. And yes, he's a hell of a coach.
With that said, he has this smugness that just grates me. He demonstrated that last night when receiving the championship trophy. I'm not sure
humble is in his vocabulary. But I'll give him a pass. Going against Mechicken fans every year probably makes you that way.

However, my impression of Connor Cook went South last night. He was a complete jerk when receiving the MVP trophy. Archie Griffen was there to hand him the trophy and probably wanted to make a comment about about winning the MVP award; Cook literally grabbed the trophy from Griffen, didn't even acknowledge him and went right into his speech about the win. Seriously, that was tacky.

Other than those impressions, it was a great game. I'll never root for Iowa, but they played their butts off. I was most impressed with their D. Sparty is going to have a tough time with Bama. Better athletes, better WR's and more speed than Iowa. And Bama's D is nasty.

I guess there is a reason Sparty players did not vote Cook team captain.

Dantonio could have gone off about how they lost to Nebraska (to which I'll always say, if that TD was taken away, we still had time), bit for the most part he took the high road.

He can seem smug, but I think that's his personality not intentional. He doesn't let his guard down very often, at least in front of a microphone and camera.

Spot on as usual Randy. Man, I had no idea he was so blatantly arrogant. And honestly, he played like crap last night for a guy whose suppose be to one of the few college QB's who is considered NFL material. The OL and rushing game saved his arrogant a$$.

You are right on the money with the OL and RB comments. His OL really stepped up in the 4th quarter.
