Really. Plus, I've hated the Cavs since I was in elementary school, so I did not mind seeing the SEC whip them.

We definitely went to Omaha through the front door after playing the toughest RPI regional and then going on the road against a 6 seed with 50 wins. No sneaking in this one.

I am strangely optimistic that we could make it to the final weekend and I am generally a pessimist when it comes to MSU.

Read a lot of Rebel friends pulling for the Dawgs....

maybe there is some class amongst them after all. I think I even read a Rebel football coach even saying he was pulling for the dawgs. Most of my rebel friends said they were pulling for us, but never in football.

But also noted I saw where a baseball america writer said UVA will be next seasons preseason no 1. We beat a good team at their house. I hope it carries over.

I want ole miss to lose every game. I never root them unless it benefits State. And that's even with OP4 as a moderator!!!!

Hell, I'm going to the Spurs game tonight but I'm not pulling for them

I congratulate you, but I won't claim I'm pulling for you. I honestly am not pulling for anyone in it.

I agree that we definitely had better players last year. We got demoralized by the slump, and went in to the Egg Bowl flat. I also think Freeze had them playing above their skill level, and will give him that. This year is going to be much different. Talent wise, it's probably a toss-up or slight edge to them. If he has them playing above their talent level again, they could win 8+ games. That said, I don't think it happens.

He is going to have to deal with something this year he hasn't had a problem with before --player egos. Last year he was Moses that led them out of the wilderness; this year he's the "coach I have before I go to the NFL" for his best players, and that is going to bring an attitude and possible morale issues he hasn't had to deal with before. We'll find out how good of a coach he is this year.

I think they mean it....for baseball. The same sentiments would never be offered for football success...never.

Thank you so much

But how do you feel about Bianco getting a contract extension? Do you think that if Ole Miss has a subpar year- which means not having a year as good as MSU and not going to Omaha, which is basically every year that Polk II wasn't coaching us so I don't know why that's an issue now- that Bjork will fire Bianco? It seems like his seat is warm amongst fans, but your administration giving him an extension seems to say otherwise to me. I feel like your program is about where Polk had our program circa 2003 without the surprise trip to Omaha coming down the pipe.

What's the thinking on this? To me it seems like, "hey, we've had some good times- if we do have to fire you next year, at least you get a little bonus pay".

I keep hearing recruiting, but that doesn't tell me that spot is stable.

Interesting I haven't heard from Optimus Prime yet

Or any other Ole Miss fan for that matter.

Based on what I can glean, it looks to me like as soon as Bianco misses the postseason, he is toast. They seem to be looking for an excuse to get rid of him.

Sonofabitch. I've been at the Spurs game

And I typed a long as hell reply but the iPad crapped out and I lost it. Basically, I think the extension had to be given if he came back for appearance sake. I think we can be better, but he hasn't been egregiously bad, so it's a tough spot. Personally I think he has earned another year, though I don't see much reason we will be a ton better. I don't know much, but Bjork has been pretty aggressive and solid so far, it will be interesting to see what he does. I feel if we don't see solid trend towards improving, as in winning more or a great recruiting class that doesn't go pro, it's time to try something else.

The ones I talk to all act like this is common and I'm the one missing the boat. It would be common if it were 3 years or so, but one year isn't saying anything to me other than they might feel a little bad about probably having to fire him soon.

Sure isn't for recruiting.
