all Marcus Dupree needed was a dad who cared enough about him or a father figure who cared enough about him to protect him and help him through the literally crazy recruitment time. Instead he gets Fairly, interestingly enough, a "reverend". That guy should be in jail. If Marcus would have had someone to genuinely look after his interest he probably would have won the Heisman Trophy and gone to the NFL where he would have been a Hall of Famer. At the very least, he would have had a ton of money in the bank. Contrast that with Newton. He has a father who seemingly was using his son in an attempt to cash in. Apparently he was willing to put everything at risk instead of patiently waiting while his son went to a university and played for a coach he really liked. It would probably have been ONE year of waiting and then he would have legitimately cashed in with the NFL. Cecil Newton is the Ken Fairly of modern day recruiting. Should he go to jail? Extortion lands people in jail every day. We shall see. One thing for sure is there is a big difference in being a father and being a dad.</p>
