"From the beginning I wanted the State fan base to be involved and they were," said Adams. "I can't say how long it took to come up with the name. You would have to ask TR from the 'Sixpack' to get the honest answer there."

About 10 seconds. I always loved the fact the first Bully was named Ptolemy and thought it would be a cool name for a bar. Of course I called it Ptolemy's Tavern. So when I read the post for the contest, I thought here's a chance to see if anyone else would agree.

I hope the name serves you well, Seth. Good luck.

sounds like a pretty cool place. How big is it? I've seen that big building they're talking about but never been in it.

Really appreciate the support. The space is between 850 and 900 sq ft.

TR...I owe you a gift certificate. Will you be in town this weekend?

how many beer's are gonna be on tap? are they mostly gonna be 'premium type' beers? (btw, I dont consider Pabst, Corona, or MGD premium).

Any chance of Shiner beer?

We will highlight the following beers: all the Lazy Magnolia beers, with the exception of the Rebel Ale (for obvious reasons)... Sam Adams Boston Lager, Sam Adams Seasonal(currently the Winter Ale), Amberbach, Blue Moon and Bud Light and Coors Light.

This selection, however, will be ever changing. We're using torpedo style kegs, which will allow us to turn over new beer regularly. So come out tomorrow and check us out. Also, if any of you have suggestions on beer shoot me a PM and we'll do whatever we can to get it for you.

Tomorrow's specials: $1 domestic draft **DURING THE GAME**
$2 16 oz Coors Light
$3.50 Premium Beer

but to deny me my pale is almost criminal.

No need for a PM for my suggestions. Abita Turbodog, please. Oh, and if you can swing the Abita Jockamo, then no need for the Oxford honoring Reb Ale. Jockamo may be the best beer I've ever had, but it may not pass Mississippi's ridiculous ABW rule.

It's 6.5 %. Mississippi limit is 5%. We all know that extra 1.5% would lead to acts of perversion so profound & disgusting, that decorum prevents listing them here.

But whats wrong with the beer we got? It drink pretty good....

Although I still dream of a day when Andygator is flowing from the taps. Just think of how awesome the gang rapes would be.

but then I read Slick's post about the 5% limit and none of them would fly. That damn law is ridiculous beyond all comprehension.

Recently had the Abita Restoration Ale which I thought was quite good; have you had that one and how does that compare with the Jockamo Pale Ale? Looking back I should have bought a six pack of that too.
Hops are whats up.
The Reb Ale wheaty hoppy beer was peculiar to me. Wouldn't turn down a cold free one, but wouldn't seek it out either.
Where do you purchase the Jockamo ale outside the LA area?
Thanks.

I like the Restoration Ale well enough. Drink a lot of it at the beach when I'm eating fish 24/7. Think of it as the white wine and Jockamo as the red wine. Never seen Jockamo outside of New Orleans, though I know it's all over Louisiana. First time I had it was at the post race party after the Half Iron Man down there. They were free to participants and I tried to drink them out of it.
