I can remember when Nebraska was a member of the Big 6, Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, and Kansas. This conference had a strong identity ending with Oklahoma and Nebraska on Thanksgiving weekend. When conferences expand like the Big 8 when to the Big 12 something is lost. When Nebraska joined the Big 10 it really hurt Nebraska as the powerhouse of the Plains with Oklahoma. Nebraska lost a lot when they went to the Big Ten, lost a lot of rivalries built up over the years and now is just a school who competes in a mediocreI'd go back in a heartbeat.
People on this board say that no one wants to come back and journalists write fluff pieces saying no one wants to come back, but how do they really know? (hint, they don't)
I have heard plenty of people that would like to go back.
There is no way to really quantify or accurately know what that percentage is though.
