and as soon as Roker said that, I stopped in mid-sentence and we all looked at each other with "WTF?" expressions. Strange...

This has been the worst major tournament I can ever remember watching. The weather could not be any worse, the leaderboard is bland, and there really haven't been any great stories with any of the old guys. I always love to see guys like Couples, Norman, or somebody like Tom Watson make an end of career charge.

To further piss me off, I fail to understand why no channel on Comcast will show early morning coverage when people are actually playing. Instead, they wait til 1:00, right before the bottom has fallen out of the sky every day so far and end up going into rain delays. I think I've seen about 2 hours of live golf in three days.

but The local NBC affiliate here in Memphis (Comcast) was showing live golf almost all day. After about 10 in the morning, the only taped golf I watched was after the last groups (that obviously weren't going to make the cut) finished their 2nd round until the third round started, about 2 hours of tape delay, I think. Of course they didn't get far into the 3rd round before it started raining again. Thanks Mother Nature.

Also, whenever NBC is airing a golf event, they need to send Al Roker to the other side of the country and tell his dumb *** to put a sock in it.

I havent been able to watch much because I have been working all day but yeah its been pretty boring to me too. I guess the storyline for me would be Phil with Amy fighting breast cancer and the support he is getting from golfers and the rowdy fans there. Thats what I like about Bethpage....the fans. Nothing like a bunch of rowdy New Yorkers along the fairways and greens. They love trying to get under Sergio's skin which is pretty fun to watch.

I'm not a fan of NBC's golf coverage. CBS has by leaps and bounds the best PGA golf coverage. NBC likes to focus on about 3 players and you dont know what else is going on around the course and then there is Johnny Miller......nuff said. He grates on my last nerve.
