Could a 6-6 team be ranked in the top 25?

I always hate getting ahead of myself, but we match up well versus Rutgers and Iowa. Given the close losses and potentially two wins versus Top 10 teams there could be some consideration.

if we won the next 2 and a bowl, we could get out of this nightmare season with a (technically speaking) winning season.

and things would be looking a whole lot better...

excuse me though...rutkers = 100% focus now.

Iowa does have a better running game than what Sparty has and their secondary will be the best we see all year.

Let's beat Rutgers first before we can think about Iowa and going 6-6.

Could the Huskers with a losing record be favored at home against an undefeated and top ten Iowa?? I think this will happen and may be the first time a top ten team is not the favorite against a team with a losing record. GBR!!! This team will finish strong!

Let's not put the Cart in front of the horse people, one game at a time. A lot of work to do yet

Yea this 2015 team hasn't won 2 conference games in a row all year..... Hope not to be disappointed like the Purdue and Illinois games.

Arkansas got a couple points in the Coaches' Poll at 5-4. Some I'm guessing Bielema has them at #24.

Stuff like this is what makes you guys so loveable.
What I find so lovable is herkie thinking they're actually top 25 material after such a brutal schedule they've endured. I know, I know. You play who's on your schedule.

Iowa > Michigan State with running game and certainly experience in the secondary. While Desmond King isn't at the level of some of MSU's top CBs of season's past ... Phil Parker will likely put him in better positions than what MSU's staff has to work with in 2015.

rutgers should not be a problem. the coach is getting fired and the team has tuned him out. they were celebrating in the locker room at halftime against michigan because they were only down 19. last 3 games they have lost 146-33.

If Iowa is undefeated going into Black Friday they will be 5-7 point favorites. Zero percent chance Nebraska is favored if Iowa is still undefeated.

3 would be more like it. Michigan State wasn't even favored that high. I always root for herkie to lose. But nothing would be cooler than to see Nebraska end herkies hopes of a Rose Bowl on Black Friday.

Only way I could see it NU would be favored is if Bethard would be out for Iowa....

Iowa is better than Michigsn State so a healthy Iowa would be about a 7 pt fav.

A: I wish we were where Iowa was...we all would love to be undefeated.
B: If NU wins and Iowa wins....I could see the spread being -1's

Someone mentioned Iowa -7, I don't see it. I do a lot of betting and that seems very high. They were just on the road at Indiana and the line (that I ended up betting) was -7.

Indiana had the most prolific offense in the B1G I'm guessing that had a lot to do with the 7 pt spread.

Indiana is 30th in total offense Nebraska is 34th and it is a 9 yard difference.

Lincoln is a tougher place to win on the road than Bloomington regardless if we screwed the pooch 3 other times this year.

That has nothing to do with why Iowa was a 7 pt favorite. But thanks for the history lesson.

Don't worry about an inferior team ranked. If Bo was here a bowl and an also ran team were guaranteed and the MSU win would have been a blow out loss.

Anyone know if there has ever been a team not ranked in the top 25 that beat two top 10 teams in the same season, heck even the best teams rarely beat two top 10 teams.

You guys and your cockiness is going to put you guys in a dark place come Black Friday. I'm not going to sit here and say Nebraska will be favored, but Iowa is not going to come into Lincoln and beat the **** out of a Nebraska team that has been in every game they have played in.

Iowa will not be favored by 7... Our worst loss is by 10 points, although it being Purdue it was on the road... Iowa is good, but they are not world beaters.

Iowa City better have counselors ready to go, because Nebraska could ruin your story book season

Iowa has since beaten Indiana and now faces Minnesota and Purdue at home. No game is a given.

However, Jeff Sagarin, who actually explains his strength of schedule formula, ranks Iowa's SOS as 36th toughest in the nation. That's higher than Baylor (105), TCU (52), Ohio State (68), Clemson (40), Florida State (66), Oklahoma State (62), Ole Miss (67), Michigan State (57), Georgia (46), Wisconsin (87), Mississippi State (56) and Boise State (59). Of the nine remaining undefeated Power 5 teams (excluding Iowa), Iowa has a tougher SOS than seven of them.

So if your argument is IOWA AIN'T PLAYED NOBODY well, you're wrong and that's a stupid argument.
