dont know anything about this ramhard guy but who cares..... i have read all year about crest this and crest that!!!! now somebody is getting into you guys and your making new post about ignoring! lol to funny.... you crest guys are the worst when it comes to ntalking crap and bragging on your team... nobody is a lock in the state championship game. i do hope havelock and crest both make it.. should be a great one... plus i have watched alot of video on crest and their pass defense is very suspect. your front seven isnt bad but speed beats size any day of the week and havelock has plenty... again i hoe this matchup happens. both teams still have a lot of work todo. .

Guys I have watched video on your team. Not bashing but can you tell what teams you guys have played this year that have a great passing attack? Just curious?
The Chargers give up about 70yds per game passing ! So if you watched the highlights you should know it took about 5 games before you saw 300yds passing on us. We also have only had about 4 games were the starters played 4qtrs. Were is HardRam with the stats when you need him LOL.
Again tell me what teams you have played that have a good passing game! Instead of mouthy little b answers man up and talk football... I'm sure ram hard is a crest guy. Wouldn't surprise me one bit
99. Please enlighten us on all the great teams Havelock has beaten. I have looked at their schedule. Not impressed. I think they had a good run with a couple of exceptional players. I also think they will get exposed soon.
I'm a new Bern fan.... Ram hard is definitely a crest guy. He acts just like you guys do. Again you crest guys keep ducking my question. Who has crest played that throws the ball well??? Apparently havelocks schedule has no effect on them when they play in the state championship! Remember there are prolly 25-30 teams that could play your schedule and have the same result...
+1 he is too much like a Crest fan. Trying to muster up any kind of motivation. N yes Rulz I will agree that the secondary comment was not the brightest. They have a Burns guy and some other good players. The rest of the post I agree with...there are a few Crest fans i actually like on here
We dont have to create any kind of motivation on a message board, we have choked in the ship the last couple of times if that aint motivation enough idk what is. especially with our added talent to the roster. We are gonna mow through everyone!
6 or 7 crest fans up here commenting and I have asked the same question 3-4 times with no answer from any...i mean u guys tell me how good your pass defense is, but can't tell me anybody good that they had to defend against! I heard Shelby in an earlier comment. Barely winning against them and they have a little bit of a defense an some passing could be bad for crest in late rounds of playoffs.. Come on boys just trying to get an answer. You guys definitely have enough mouth to provide it... As I have heard all year that you guys are the best in all classifications.
lol....the only quality team (shelby 2a) you guys played and you guys struggled... your offense production was way down and defense totals were up..... i guess that just goes to show me what you guys are all about...all that mouth....where is it now superstars!
Crest schedule has been bad no denying that. However Shelby is a quality bunch and listing them draws the usual responses as seen above.
I think crest has a great team. I hope everybody stays healthy and maybe havelock an crest can meet in the title game. It would be a great game.

I use to be regular poster here but got tired of the same ole same ole on here but thought I would answer your question.Crest has played 1 solid passing team this year and it was Shelby. For the most part Crest has played a weak schedule and in all honesty hasn't been really tested other than Shelby. However with that being said dont let the size of Shelby fool you. They could defeat many teams in all classifications on most given nights. Despite the enrollment they are deep in athletic talent and size. Crest did play other teams that threw the ball well just not against Crest due to the front 7 putting so much pressure on the QB. Kings Mt has an adequate passing game but had problems on defense and staying healthy to be an overall competitive team. Pretty much the rest of the schedule was very weak. However with that said Crest has played in even less competitive conferences in the past and still went on to win State Titles in a non watered down 4a playoff in 96. and 03 and 04. Your argument concerning the numbers going downhill in the Shelby game makes a good point but what you fail to see is the fact that the Crest kids made adjustments and picked themselves up off the ground and fought back after being punched in the mouth against Shelby and overcame a 13 point deficit nearing the end of the 3rd quarter to move ahead. In my humble opinion this was the test Crest needed to help them in the playoffs against a very strong well balanced team that could and would test nearly any team in the state especially if they played as well as they did on that given night. Now to answer your question I believe Crest has a very good secondary and can compete but is subject to give up a few big plays due to the lack of being consistently tested game in and game out but by the time they get their legs under them during the course of the game I think you will agree the secondary can and will come up with big plays and it doesn't hurt to have a great front 7!

Set champs- SP beat Shelby, and we're not real good on either side of the ball.
The only reason *Crest is saying this and that about Shelby now is because they have to (b/c Shelby proved it on the field vs. them). But, Shelby is no bear on either side either. They're a 2a playoff team that would get beaten by E. Lincoln by 20 points should they play (are they in same bracket or no?). Forgive me Lionettes, I don't even look at 2a brackets.
So, yes....that little number 3or 4 Havelock has.....*Crest doesn't have anyone on the field that can match that type of quickness. Havelock has better coaching too. So, you will have a fun time if you show up pulling for the East if those two have a showdown.

I've asked this same question a couple of times and no one has responded yet.... But.... How did the early season scrimmage go between Crest and FV? Was FV able to move the ball on the Crest D.

What would you like to talk about sensibly? I'm a loud mouth but we can talk football.
83, was correct about a lot of things. Our schedule was weak. We have all admitted it. Our conference is a joke, with the exception of Shelby, no competition. We did not place ourselves in this conference the State did.
Now, our defense. We mostly run out of the 3-4. Our fron seven is lights out, it's fantastic. You have to have very good linebackers to run the 3-4 and we have four good ones. Our two defensive ends are great run stoppers, and they are even better on the pass rush. They would be #1 Omar Brooks, and #90 Chris Willis.
We do use multiple fronts depending on who we play. For example we switch into a 4-3 at various times, and I saw a five man front last week. SWR favored the run heavily, and they could not pass the ball so I assume the coached knew best.
In the secondary we play Tampa 2 and man at the same time. We let the corners go man and have one and sometimes two safetys roaming free. One of which is Shrine bowl pick. I'm sure as the competition gets better we may have to adjust on some of that, but to suggest that our secondary is weak, is foolish.
There is nothing weak about the Crest defense. Can Crest be beaten. Absolutely. Can Crest beat anyone they play. Absolutely.
