I'd love to see Minnesota win. Gives us a co-championship and makes our win over Minnesota look even better.

Penn State will represent the east with a win over Michigan State.
True, Ohio State is in playoff no matter what. Only question is if a 2 loss Wisconsin gets in by beating Minny and winning title game, or if Pedo State wins conference and Big 10 sneaks a 2nd team in.

This is what is crazy. Ohio state is better off if Penn state wins. So they don't want to play in the championship game which is why the conf champion should be rewarded.

Think of this scenario-
MSU beats PSU
Minny beats Wisconsin

Wisconsin vs Ohio State in conf championship game and knocks them out. Who gets in? None??

Even if Bama loses today you have to have Clemson lose tonight and or in their CCG and Washington lose the Pac12 CCG... Other wise the winner of the B1G conference won't jump Bucknuts.

Does anyone else see the irony in Ohio State pulling for Penn State so they don't HAVE to play in the conf championship game?!

If you can avoid an extra game and still make the playoffs then that is the smart thing to do. I think something like that would be stupid myself and it waters down the system but I can certainly see the benefit of wanting to avoid it.

Michigan.
Even after one week before Ohio State beat Mich? So Mich would be rewarded for not playing in the conf championship game?

I see this scenario forcing the need for 8 teams. Each conf champion and 3 wild card teams.

Which is so dumb because if Penn State wins the CCG, they will have beaten osu head to head and they will be a Conference Champion, yet osu will have played one less game and get into the playoff, such a screwed up system.

They need to do away with this full on human element poll that decides who goes where. I don't think there was much wrong with the BCS poll for rating teams, just the system that left some deserving teams out of it.

Difference is that Ohio State won @ Oklahoma (most likely Big 12 Champ) whereas Penn State lost @ Pitt..

The more interesting to me is if Wisconsin wins out. You will have a 11-2 Badger team who is the Big Ten Champion that arguably played the toughest schedule in the country.

If the committee wants to reward teams for wining their conference and for playing a tough schedule how do you leave Wisconsin out?

There is no perfect system. Grow up.

Telling me to grow up, what is your point. A system that rewards the conference champion is better than grown adults placing teams in a playoff. If you win your conference in b-ball you make the tournament. So you can STFU and believe in your own imperfect system.
