Fyfe had some really bad picks in that first game, but don't forget he also generated a lot of late offense. On top of that, I don't believe the coaches would rely so much on his arm this time around. I believe Nebraska would absolutely beat Purdue with Fyfe should he be forced to action again this year.
I agree.

What in the entire hell is happening in this thread? We cant take anyone lightly. Im so confused right now.
Well with a banged up oline, and a hobbeling round qb, I was just wondering if we might be able to get them healed up before wisconson and ohio state. not that purdue is bad but we have a track record of losing to wisconson, and a lot of folks think ohio state is special this year.

The reason for Fyfe's success was because Purdue put in their backups. ;)

I dare you to try! When Iowa put their 2nd string in against us last week we rallied and forced them to put their 1st string back in!!

THANK YOU. Is anyone NU has beaten currently ranked?

By all means, I am thrilled they're 6-0. But go ahead and stop acting like 1995 Nebraska just walked back through that door. This is the same team that had to battle like hell to overcome Oregon, Northwestern and Indiana. Don't look now, but Oregon's coach is all but assured of being fired this year.

Is this not the same board that did a rather thorough analysis of how our talent level is not much higher than Purdue's? But suddenly we're over here acting like their guys don't lift weights and aren't on scholarship...
