You're gonna have to wait a lot longer than you imagine. Unless you count garbage time as worth the wait.

He's improving but he has a Looooong ways to go.

Will there be any garbage time? If there is that would be a terrific thing and if he gets on the floor that would mean the team is doing well? I think so!

If we don't play the end of the bench during the opening 5 game stretch then it's going to be a long year.

That part of the schedule is marshmallow soft and if the games are not blowouts that's going to be a very bad sign.

Looked up Seton Hall basketball schedule for November 3rd, 7th and November 10th on the ESPN web site and under TV - there is no listing. ESPN plus is not indicated; I thought the games were supposed to be on ESPN plus??? Other college games are listed on ESPN plus under TV.

It's very possible those pages haven't been updated recently.

Of the first five games, four of them have the start time as TBD. Just looking at November 3, several other BE schools do not have a TV listing either. I would expect all of the conference's games will be aired by one of our broadcast partners.

If it works the other way around and the other team is enjoying it then we are in deeper trouble!

The other issue with ESPN is that last year while SHU was schedule to be televised, since there were other games on the same date ESPN would switch to 5 or 6 other games. You would be watching the start of every game and in the end you would maybe see 10 minutes of the SHU game. Is this what will be happening again this season? That sucks and is not worth buying a subscription!

I'd love you to cite an example of this as I don't recall anything of the sort.

It shouldn't be difficult because all of three Seton Hall games aired one of the ESPN channels last year.

So many of us have great ideas how to generate revenue through exhibition games at NJIT. This may from left field, but what about creating interest by adding the names of the players whose pics appear on this thread?

I don't know how I could site an example for you other than to tell you I tuned in to watch SHU only to have them cut away for the start of 4 to 6 other games that were starting as they started up and only got back to the SHU game after watching some other games for a few minutes. Missed a lot of the SHU game. I think it was something like ESPN tip off night. NO it did not happen all season but it happened at the begining.

If ESPN+ is committed to showing more than one game on a given night will they be cutting over to the other games going on at the same time as SHU is playing? That is my concern. Is it valid? You tell mer.

If memory serves that was a one time thing, It was advertised as Big East opening night and not as an exclusive SHU game.

I do agree with you though that is was just annoying as trying to watch BB and seeing snippets of every game was a waste of time.

Streaming services like Hulu Live with the ESPN package allow you to watch all of any and every game broadcast on the ESPN networks including every ESPN+ game. Hulu Live bundle (with Disney +, and ESPN) is also cheaper than cable TV packages.

This was in reference to FS1’s “whiparound” coverage of opening night in the Big East they did for a few years up until last year. You could still watch the full games through the Fox Sports app if you had a cable subscription.

You can also now bundle ESPN with Fox One for $40 a month which will give you access to all of the Fox channels as well as all ESPN events.

Idk about Fox One but Hulu Live gives you all games on at least Fox and the Fox Sports channels.

Yes, FS1 did this the past couple of years. And I was aware of what shu67 was referencing.

I hated that as well as I like to watch the broadcasts of the games I attend and wasn't able to do so in those cases.

Relax, I'm having a little fun with you. Lol.

The beauty of a streaming service such as ESPN+ is they could allow you, as a fan, to watch the Seton Hall (or some other) game and employ "whiparound" coverage on another stream for those who might choose to get a taste of several games at once. Think NFL Red Zone.

Big East, ESPN reunite with 6-year media rights deal

  • Associated Press
Jul 8, 2025, 03:20 PM ET

The Big East Conference and ESPN announced a six-year digital media rights deal on Tuesday.
Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman said in a statement that the agreement gives "all 22 of our sports - especially women's basketball and Olympic sports - the visibility they've earned and the access our fans expect."
"This exciting partnership with ESPN reinforces our commitment to placing Big East teams front and center on the leading digital sports platform," Ackerman said.
ESPN had the rights to the Big East from 1980 to 2013. The revived partnership comes after ESPN lost Big Ten media rights to Fox, NBC and CBS in 2022.
"We're pleased to welcome the Big East back to ESPN," Nick Dawson, the network's senior vice president of programming and acquisitions, said in a statement. "This agreement returns one of the country's premier conferences and its tradition of excellence to ESPN platforms. We look forward to this new chapter in our relationship with the Big East."
ESPN+ will stream over 300 Big East events annually. Financial terms of the deal were not included in the announcement.
The Big East wrapped up a competitive 2024-2025 campaign led by the UConn women's basketball team, which won its 12th national title in April. The St. John's men's basketball team had a strong regular season, earning a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament before being eliminated in the second round by No. 10 Arkansas.

Thanks folks for all the help and great info on streaming the games. I'm going to try ESPN+ for the first time and hope it works out.

Possible change of plans. I might get the HULU, Disney Espn package for $29.99 a month. And cancel it after all the ESPN games have been played. This way I can catch SHU and watch some other stuff too for a couple of months.

Are you saying that Hulu + Live will allow you to watch all games this season, aside from the Peacock games? This is becoming a nightmare with all these networks.

It should! I watched all our away games and recorded all our games on Hulu Live (with Disney and ESPN bundle). Except the ones on Peacock.

Read into it, but with the Live feature, you have television through Hulu not just the Hulu streaming shows etc

It may not have like MSG.

I am wondering if I am going to see a familiar face in the last row mid court when I look across the court tonight.
