Ah, country music. The not-so-bright, unattractive, Mt. Dew scented cousin to all other music genres. No doubt country music and tractor pull fans make up 95% of Trump's base.
Part of me wishes I could like country music but I just don't. Even when I was a kid I'd watch Hee Haw for the jokes and then turn it off when they had someone play a song (always a country song).
That said, one of the few country songs I like is "Friends In Low Places" so they picked a good one.
That said, although they picked a good song, if they're going to do a song like that they need to come up with more and better lyrics. I mean, they lyrics they have are decent but there aren't many and some repeat. They're obviously going for a particular theme so while you're doing it you might as well come up with a lot of lyrics for the theme.
I realize how the Dems lost - thanks! I also found out -seemingly overnight- how many mouth-breathing, gullible, idiots we have in this country.
Get past frat boy country bros and there's some damn good country/americana musicians and songwriters. Nothing you would find on country radio or any of the 3 dozen awards shows, but it's 2017....you can find it.
