Will it have the same meaning for WVU fans now?

Will it be considered racist to sing it at WVU sporting events after a victory?

I’m sure Shane Lyons is somewhere figuring out how to incorporate the ANTIFA BLM theme song before the games.

Gotta cater to the crowd that never goes to games, buys merchandise, and certainly doesn't have season tickets or is a donor, but screams the loudest on twitter.

That's the point. They take us for granted because we don't act like spoiled, destructive children at the slightest provocation. Won't change until those that disagree with the whiny mob start voting with wallets and eyeballs.

but Mike Cassaza said that fans who vote with their wallets are just “spokes on a wheel” and easily replaceable...What an absolute terrible take by him, and is the same one ESPN took and they’ve had the lowest ratings in years.

I dont think that is true for college sports and definitely not at a school like WVU. This isnt a major city with a huge population to suck in fans to attend games. Our fans travel hours each week and over pay for the privilege.

I doubt there are too many people wanting to replace those old guys with 5 season tickets and renew them for the next 20 years.

Exactly....we just show up with our money year in year out. Even when we get upset, they know we are actually reasonable so its not like they are concerned.

I will take my money elsewhere.

I'm taking a knee for "Country Roads"...gotta take a stand. "Almost Heaven"- hateful to agnostics, druids, and Santeria. "Misty taste of moonshine" trivializes the disease of alcoholism. Mountain "Mama" confers traditional and misogynistic female stereotypes. "To the place I belong"- a plaintive cry to return to the predominately white state of West Virginia. No mention of social justice, gender fluidity, BLM, pansexuals, LGBTQEIEIO's...nothing. It's a very thin veiled racist screed aimed at recruitment for the John Birch Society.

With what? This generation of college students who come to games late, sit in a half-filled student section, and leave at halftime?

WVUALLEN you're just as big an idiot as Rootmaster. Just stop watching and posting if you don't like it. It's not all about you. Stop getting on here and trolling us with this kinda BS.

Wow. How many more of these you going to create?

It's pretty obvious you're jealous of me and my knowledge and superiority. Please when you get old enough and you quit playing games come back we all can talk WVU sports.

Darth, 20 years ago I had 7 season seats. This year ...... 0 ....... don't know that I'll ever get a season ticket again.
3 years ago I quit watching NFL because of the kneeling. Have 2 friends with season tix for Steelers games ... passed on offers for the past 3 years. Watched again last year. Let's see what happens this year.

Being a real fan requires money and time.

Lots of money and lots of time. Everyone on this board knows the reality of that....season tickets, donations, travel, ect.

They are headed for a crash.

I hear ya...

They are cozying up to a small, vocal group of people who don't actually purchase tickets, donate, go to wvu, or are lifelong fans....

Bought 3 season tickets a year from 1980 - 2007. Then started picking and choosing games I wanted to see because prices began soaring.

Haven't been to a home or road game in about 6 years.
