Not doing as well as my home of Virginia, which has had a far lower per capita case and death rate than Florida due to more stringent lockdowns and masking with Democrats in control of the Governor, Lieutenant Governer, Attorney General, and both the state senate and house of delegates throughout the pandemic.
In fact, Virginia ranks 9th (out of 50 states + DC) for
fewest cases per capita and 13th in
fewest deaths per capita. Florida on the other hand? 8th in
most deaths per capita and
most cases per capita
And would you look at these unemployment rates dating back to January 2020. Bolded are the months in which each state had the lower unemployment rate head to head. As you'll see, Virginia has been dominating Florida, winning 15 months to only 6 for Florida. And that's in spite of the lockdowns and all the other measures taken to help contain the impact of COVID.
