Shelby’s defense is pretty good, they have some dogs on that side. Curious to see how they matchup with Crest’s offense and in particular the Crest passing offense. I think Shelby’s defense will hold their own unless they are on the field too long.
if Shelby can not run the ball against Crest then this game is going to be over before it starts. If Shelby can run it enough it opens up more of what they can do on offense.
Crest’s kicking game which seems much improved will be a factor. The kicking game and Crest being patient long enough to let their size/ speed on both sides of the ball to wear the Golden Lions down are huge keys to victory for Crest. I believe this can be a better game than some fans may be thinking.

You can throw out the stats for sure. I can see both teams hitting a big play or two early but as the game goes on I think Crest pulls away. The one thing that worries me if I’m Crest is the QB designed runs. I know he’s tough as nails but man one wrong hit and it can be terrible. That offense goes as #0 goes. Cannot afford an injury.
If Shelby can give Lan time to throw they can stay in this but they have a banged up backfield and that alone gives a huge advantage to Crest.
Now take what I typed, read it and throw it away because with this rivalry you just never know.

I speak for everybody when I say im sick of you 2 guys playing 4 times a year and in the playoffs. There is a preseason thread for you guys annual scrimmage that is 17 pages. Your week 2,5,7,10 matchups all get 15 pages and then your third round playoff game gets 19 pages even though you’re never in the same classification. How does it seem like you guys play each other every Friday from june 18th to New Year’s Day?
