Game ended up 35-16. Have to agree it was hard to watch at times. Crest D struggled with penalties and poor pass coverage. I thought Crest might give Shelby a game but after tonight I expect Shelby QB Lee to light Crest up.
Yeah, it wasn't pretty, however you never felt Crest was really in danger of losing the game. The offense responded when it needed to, especially with the running game. Defense did look lost and out of position. Crest is a strong team...but conference champion? or 3rd round applicant? Not right now.
You can still see the youth showing up with Huskey at times but you can also see this kid is a special talent. Mari Adams has turned into a beast in the backfield and I'm interested in how they use Carter Greene moving forward after his 93 yard TD run out of the wildcat. Cramer is a much improved football team and I love the QB. Kid is a gunslinger. I believe he threw around 45 passes last night. Depth is the biggest issue Crest is facing. Gotta a few guys that barely leave the field. That can lead to some breakdowns esp on the defensive side of the ball, but give those kids credit, they stepped up when needed. Still some things to work on but you are 3-0 in con play. Hopefully they can continue to improve each week.
