....not really feeling good about the rest of the season. 10 offensive points against the 12th ranked SEC defense after an off week. It's more of the same. And while we nutted up and made the plays when we had to, there wasn't anything "flukish" about the win, it just wasn't anything to be that proud of. That said, any other SEC team next to the #13 ranking would be a different story, and we'd all be thrilled, but we all know Vandy being #13 was a huge joke.
That said, there were some things to feel better about. We controlled the line of scrimmage for the first time and were able to run better than we have all year (still not very good), and had Henderson turned around at the right time, he would've caught a perfectly placed touchdown pass in the first half and we would've scored 24 points and everybody would feel a little better.
Which brings us back to why UT is such a big game. We'll see if we've turned this "mythical" corner and we are "executing." The offensive effort we saw Saturday will put up about 3 on the Vols. In my opinion, Croom was in about a four game single elimination playoff after the open date. Lose any one of those games, and you are seriously going to lose any real hope of bowling and the fans are goin to drop like flies. He's put himself in this position, though, that's for sure.
