Just ordered mine. Still don't understand the plans but I hopefully they can make them a little clearer before they take effect January 1, 2012.

I am just a customer so I don't have any inside info. I was just reporting what Cspire sent out on twitter.

Are you talking about buying out a contract from another company? I would doubt that they would do that. The last time they offered that they ended up with so many new customers that it actually taxed the network. I think they are anticipating a large amount of customers switching over for the iphone without having to buy out contracts.

If you are already with them, you can get the iphone for the discounted price as long as you are not in the 1st year of your contract. That is what it says on the website.

really a problem? Isn't that what they are striving for by changing their image and what not anyhow? I was under the impression they offered the buyout from another provider quiet often.

Looks like its 120 dollar fee with no trade in credit, so I wonder how much they will take off if you trade in the Galaxy S to upgrade to the Iphone

They're treating all streaming as being equal by counting minutes-of-streaming instead of bytes. Streaming HD video on your device is nowhere near equal to Pandora radio.

I could argue that web surfing can be more taxing than Pandora.

I don't like it. But unfortunately (or fortunately) their plan sucks less than their competition...for the most part. I haven't closely checked out Sprint.

FWIW I switched form Csouth when I moved to DC a few years ago and got ATT. I moved back here and complained about the service like everyone else for the last year. I am one of the grandfathered unlimited data people form the original 3G days. Plus we still get a discount from my wife's old job. We pay ~$60 a month for each phone.<div>
</div><div>With that said. I just got my new ATT iPhone and the reception is night and day. I still wouldn't compare it to cellular south just because I remember how great it was, but at least I'm not searching for a signal 90% of the time. I say I have an average 3bars of reception now instead of 2 or 1.</div>

I picked up a 4S last week. If you've had an iPhone before, it's not a huge change but it's definitely one bad little phone. The two main things I had complained about were the relatively small screen at 3.5" as well as the lack of 4G support. However, I'm finding that I really like the compact size of the phone as compared to some of the clunkers out there and not having 4G support is not that bothersome. I went to the AT&T store and after comparing browsing speeds on the Galaxy S 2 and the iPhone, I couldn't tell any difference. Now, I wasn't in an LTE area but the iPhone is plenty fast, regardless.

The good:
Camera is really impressive compared to my old 3G
Screen is still the best in the market from my point of view
Good battery and I've only had to charge it once since Sat morning
iCloud is actually a neat feature. Can store and wirelessly transfer 5GB of data
Generally speaking, the phone and 3G network is lightning fast compared to what I've had before

The bad:
Siri is about as worthless as I had expected. It's cool but really not all that useful.

All that is saying is the monthly plans breakdown like this (note their website has an additional plan not mentioned on that site):<div>
</div><div>Plan 1: $50 a month</div><div>Includes: 500 voice minutes, M2M, Text and Pic Messaging, Free Nights and Weekends, and Unlimited Data (no stream)</div><div>Doesn't Include Streaming: Means online videos, podcasts, radio, etc.</div><div>
</div><div><div>Plan 2: $70 a month</div><div>Includes: Unlimited voice minutes, M2M, Text and Pic Messaging,Free Nights and Weekends, and Unlimited Data (no stream)</div><div>Doesn't Include Streaming: Means online videos, podcasts, radio, etc.</div></div><div>
</div><div>Plan 2x (*this one is on website): $80 a month</div><div><div>Includes: 500 voice minutes, M2M, Text and Pic Messaging,Free Nights and Weekends, and Unlimited Data (Includes streaming)</div><div>Doesn't Include Streaming: Means online videos, podcasts, radio, etc.</div></div><div>
</div><div><div>Plan 3: $90 a month</div><div>Includes: 1000 voice minutes, M2M, Text and Pic Messaging,Free Nights and Weekends, and Unlimited Data (Includes streaming)</div><div>Notes: If you don't talk to non-CSPIRE numbers very often this would probably be the best option and one I'll probably get.</div></div><div>
</div><div><div>Plan 4: $100 a month</div><div>Includes: Unlimited voice minutes, M2M, Text and Pic Messaging,Free Nights and Weekends, and Unlimited Data (Includes EVERYTHING)</div><div>Notes: This is the truly unlimited everything plan looks like. Actually it looks identical to their old Unlimited Smartphone plan except it also includes pic messaging. If I thought I'd go over 1,000 minutes to non-CSPIRE number I'd get this one.</div></div>
