"“Don’t let Joe Biden take credit for the vaccines ... because the vaccines were me, and I pushed people harder than they’ve ever been pushed before .. The vaccines are — there are those that say it’s one of the greatest things. It’s a medical miracle.”

He wanted credit then, he's going to take the criticism now.
Ok- criticize him for cutting the red tape then but you can’t say he created the vaccines. He allowed the pharma companies to develop them quickly but they obviously take more time for a reason.

Of course he didn’t create them. Trump has never created anything. He slaps his name on stuff and takes the credit.

He wants the credit for the vaccines after all these years (see his comments yesterday). You guys don’t want to give it to him because it means admitting a fault.

To be fair, he was told it would help/ save the old and frail. He never came close to forcing healthy children or adults to take it. that was the left while their media shamed any dissenters.
The cult is strong within you.

OK, he fastracked the deadly vaccines (again, according to TJ and those liking his crazy posts), and handed the keys to Fauci and a demented Biden. Like giving a loaded gun to a nursing home patient. But sure, no blame for him, just the ones that delivered his greatest success.

He also told us the vaccines were safe and effective. You guys seem to be blowing right by that, and now believe that we should have known they were not. Trump deserves no blame for that either. It's amazing, like magic.

"In order to achieve this goal, we harnessed the full power of government, the genius of American scientists, and the might of American industry to save millions and millions of lives all over the world. We’re just days away from authorization from the FDA, and we’re pushing them hard, at which point we will immediately begin mass distribution."

"The gold standard vaccine has been done in less than nine months." - wait, I thought this was killing people left and right?

"we are exceedingly proud that both Pfizer and Moderna have announced that their vaccines are approximately 95 percent effective," - made up stat

"American companies were the first to produce a verifiably safe and effective vaccine." - news to @tjfleck6

How many women had miscarriages because of the vaccines? How many people got turbo cancer, died, and left their kids as orphans? How many lives were ruined or terminated because of OWS?

Pfizer used Trump to coin the phrase “safe and effective”.

It’s pretty funny that guys like TJ love to use that phrase to denigrate the vaccine.

Covid started in Jan 2020 with an announcement from the CDC that a man from Wuhan China died in Washington State from this new virus. We all lived thru it and it was a nightmare. The medical establishment was totally inept and Dr Fauci was a key part of it. Vaccines, no vaccines, social distancing, no social distancing, masks, no masks, etc. But the worst was the forced vaccinations, largely in blue states and in the federal govt run by Biden. 2+ years of total chaos while the govt threw money around like it was nothing. How many trillions did covid add to the national debt?

Anyway for everyone criticizing Trump, he relied on his medical advisors in the CDC, NIH, etc. He was not being a publicity hound, he was supporting their recommendations - no one knew enough to say otherwise early on. Trump also was only president for the 1st year when the medical community was particularly clueless and then the big brother Dems took over.

It was one of the worst experiences I have lived thru and I never got covid. Thanks for constantly reminding me of it. o_O:unsure:;) ( I can take it!)

Trump was responsible for most of the “throwing money around like it was nothing” in response to Covid. Over $3 trillion worth of aid passed under Trump.

He also was key figure in fast tracking the vaccines and unleashing Fauci. The lockdowns and school closures occurred under Trump.

He was downright awful during covid and deserves the criticism.

Correct. I live in a red state and in one of the most Republican Counties and we had all of the mask mandates, lockdowns, vaccine requirements of any of the blue states AZILLINI vilifies.

And they were gone by May 2020 / June 2020 at latest Stoney. See, I did extensive work in your state in May 2020 and vacationed there in June 2020. In May, Florida was recognizing the scam. By June, Universal Orlando had opened, and the waterpark was FREAKING LIT in late June - it was total normality with the exception of the lifeguards being forced to mask up.

Stupid R states like Arizona with a weaker governor held on to restrictions longer. But, blue states were intent on a total shutdown. Blue states loved total control.

Now that Jeff has left you, how do you like your new besties Rill & Icky?

How can anyone possibly think that the worst part of Covid was the "forced vaccinations" when Covid involved (a) hundreds of thousands of premature deaths (yes, it was mostly elderly, but people who would have survived a not insignificant period of time longer) and (b) massive shutdowns of the economy and civil society.

Different political tribes put wildly different weights on (a) versus (b), but it seems impossible to think that both weren't far worse than "forced vaccinations" (btw, your parents probably forced some vaccinations on you long ago, you should thank them again).

Bottom line, the vaccine stuff is mostly BS from people who haven't looked at any actual data and rely on MAHA and similar whackjobs for analysis (I looked at a whole lot of Covid data and most of it didn't support the overwrought response IMO, but it sure did support the idea that vaccinating Americans above about 45 saved lives).

You meander through sanity and insanity and what you think “you guys” think is squarely in the insanity realm. You hate Trump with every fiber of your being and as much as you think “you guys” cannot or will not find fault in him, you cannot or will not find anything positive in him. Until you stop looking at all things Trump through a hateful lens, you can keep your comments about what “you guys” think to yourself.

Why do you think they had the FBI redact references to him, and he won't release the records and video?
Probably because he had many dealings with Epstein and it’ll look bad. Do you think Trump had sex with underage girls? Do you think Trump trafficked underage girls? I don’t.

I already told you I love what they’ve done at the border. I am also in favor of stopping the trans nonsense.

You are no different. There were positive things that happened under Obama and Biden.

I think he likely sexually assaulted someone. He has a history of that.

I’m thinking there are a lot of recorded conversations that they don’t want to get out. Trump was always a little loose speaking off the record.

If Epstein recorded everything, he could have Trump and others admitting some very embarrassing things. For example, details on how he met Melania.

I don’t think Trump was into young girls. But being friends with Epstein for that long….Epstein likely had some dirt on him.

I wasn't talking about deaths or the shutdowns, I was talking about heavy handed mandates to try to deal with the crisis. Making people get vaccinated for covid or lose their jobs was wrong.

Now that this board is making me remember covid - it started in January 2020. Trump announced operation warp speed but the vaccine rollout didn't really get going until February 2021. We went for 12-13 months shutting down non essential businesses, masks, social distancing, etc. Once vaccine rollout started, particularly the older people got vaccinated while natural immunity levels were rising because of people who recovered from covid. By summer everyone who wanted to be vaccinated had been and covid levels were trending down except for the "mutations" that continued to pop up for at least another year.

However many businesses and the military decided that mandatory vaccinations for covid were necessary. In the case of the military they discharged over 8000 people who wouldn't get vaccinated. Interestingly, Congress overruled the Biden administration and in December 2022 passed a bill that included a recision of the vaccine mandate effective January 2023 (somehow the autopen signed it). Under Trump I think they are now all eligible to rejoin the military with back pay.

I have no issue with vaccines and for older people, the covid vaccine made sense and probably saved alot of lives. It also probably shortened the time of the covid crisis if high vaccinated levels plus natural immunity are what caused the decline in cases. I think it did but with covid everything is debatable.

ps I purposely did not get into the safety of the vaccine but that is another reason no one should be forced to get vaccinated if they think it is unsafe.

Starbuck is an idiot. You should find other sources. Trump was President during the last census, his Commerce Dept. ran it, not the Dems. Deja Vu to the rest as Trump tried to only count citizens last census and the Supreme Court stopped him.
