Kind of a catch 22 he is pretty much automatic to make the finals because of how weak the East is but usually in the finals their opponents have been flat out better . Personally I only blame him for one finals loss and that was the Dallas series .
People act like LeBron is the only one that isn't getting the "He's still the best player" treatment.
Shaq was clearly the baddest dude in the league there for a while, and ends with 1 MVP.
Voters have always enjoyed changing it up. They like new and different.
That said, it seems like more often than not, it winds up going to the best player on the best team. Curry was clearly the MVP. And then you go out and your team has a historical season.

I like Curry, but what Kenny and Charles said is true on NBA at the half. If we take Golden State and have them play in late 80-s and 90's where, fouls are different and a more physical demanding game, I wonder what his box score would be like.

If they let San Antonio score in the 120's the whole series like they did with Portland, they're in some deep [poop] or I guess OKC, if they upset the Spurs could matchup against them really well.. They're healthy and playing well..

What makes you so sure they'll be playing San Antonio? In case you hadn't noticed, the Spurs are in a predicament at the moment, down 3-2 and playing game 6 on the road.
