You beat two bad teams. Got destroyed by a good one. You have more turnovers and penalties than last year combined. No depth on the line or linebacker. A terrible safety. With both brooks boys injured they have no pressure on the qb. The o-line can't move anybody even against Annandale and fairfax. Broad run was in the backfield all night. Receivers dropping balls. Not sure what the defense was doing but I could have scored running thru the holes the broad run made and I'm old!! Haddock needs to tweak the offense cause he doesn't have the players to make it work.

Offense isn't great, but real problem tonight was defense.. The night started with another turnover on the opening kick-off. It wasn't the lack of pass rush from the missing Brooks brothers. Every time Broad Run tried to pass they did Centreville a favor. Centreville looked very undisciplined on the dline, is anyone teaching these guys how to line up? Very sloppy. Defensive ends showed no discipline on assignment responsibility against the read option. They looked like they'd never even practiced for it. Line Backers caught up at the line of scrimmage over and over again.. DTackles just physically overmatched.

Time to see what thee coaching staff and players are made of.

I actually decided on this game last minute since it was the GOW. Didnt anticipate seeing a running clock in this one, and based off what I had heard, I thought Centreville would be on the other end of it. Oddly enough though, even though the game turned into a blowout it was fun to watch as a neutral fan (typically the blowouts are no fun to me). Centreville was outplayed in every area tonight. When BR was on offense it looked like a video game, as #2, #33, and the QB were breaking off big runs like it was nothing. #2 is one heck of an athlete, and he is probably the best player I've seen so far this year, and he has big play ability every time he touches the ball of offense/special teams and even made some big plays on D, as he had an int in the endzone. The pass play CV used on the first play of the game was one of the coolest plays, something like a double reverse/flea flicker type play to a wide open man downfield. Even though their offense wasn't great tonight, I think their major area of concern has to be on defense as there were open lanes all night.

Good energy at the game tonight and I nominate the Broad Run student section for "Student Section of the Year" so far. They were going wild from start to finish, and were a fun bunch.

Good info but please remember you are critiquing teenagers, not RG3. "A terrible safety" is a tough review of a kid's performance. There is a better way to state it.

On top of this he's factually inaccurate all over the post. Offensively they had gained over 600 yards on the ground in previous 2 games with a couple 100 yard pass performances, well over 800 yards in 1st two games. Gained over 180 against Broad Run on the ground and 130 via the air. Correct about the turnovers, those first two games would have been blowouts save for the 9 turnovers.

Pass rush not present, OK, Broad Run didn't complete 1 pass, QB sacked twice at least, so that's not an issue. Dline and LB's are nicked up and some kids are playing that need to grow. Corners can play. Safety is a sophomore, unfortunately for him he was tested too much. I'm sure he will improve.

Depth is an issue, no doubt, entire defense struggled, but oldtimer saw a bunch that wasn't there, and missed some stuff that was. The real question is how does this team and coaching staff respond after getting punched in the mouth.

This must have been bothering you all day to post again on this. If I affended you or your son, I apologize. The first two games were against Annandale and fairfax. Enough said. Sure they gained yards against BR. Pressure on the qb I should have said they are not getting into the back field and being affective as much. But look at the fact they have scored 7 points total in the second half in all three games. Due to penalties or turnover of whatever. Maybe we look at the games differently and can agree to disagree. But that was a bad lose and hasn't seen that in years. And yes it will be interesting to see how the coaching staff and the players respond this week.
